Derrick White on making Celtics HISTORY with Payton Pritchard | Postgame Interview 3-5

BOSTON — The short-handed Boston Celtics secured a 128-118 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers behind historic performances from Payton Pritchard and Derrick White. Pritchard erupted for a career-high 43 points, knocking down a career-best 10 three-pointers, while White added career highs with 41 points and nine threes. The duo made franchise history as the first Celtics teammates to each score 40+ points in the same game and became the first NBA duo ever to hit nine or more threes each in a single game.

After the game, Derrick White reflected on the accomplishment:
“It’s unbelievable, just the talent that we have and the history of this franchise. I’m watching the “Celtics City” documentary, can’t wait for the next episode.”

    PP and Derrick are the only two players in Celtic's roster, who play consistently, when KP, Jay's and Jrue are on the bench, the bench players should deliver, but they are all below par, Hauser, Luke, Quetta and Jordan, banner 19 is gonna be a tough task on hand with Cavaliers.

    Don’t let jb jt and pp and dw start all averaging over 20 ppg next season or it’s over and I can see this being a thing with op averaging like 18 and white 21.4 or something

    Both D White and PP are the ultimate underdogs. Neither were expected to make it, never mind thrive, at this level. To have them share the NBA teammate record of 9+ made threes each and the Celtic teammate record of 41+ points each is fantastic. They both personify what it means to be a great teammate. Great teammates make great teams. Great work Celtics!

    Yeah JB had 37 against Cleveland and JT had 46 I believe so they were close. D WHITE TOP 5 Guard in the league without a DOUBT
