I truly hope Malone makes the adjustment, but based on his past history am not optimistic.
Really happy for Zeke. If he continues to play this kind of D & if his overall game improves, I just don’t see how you could trade him. We always want to see more 3 & D guys around Jok, correct? Well they got one. I feel way more confident Zeke’s 3s are going in v MPJ.

Jokic Bron only 5.6 FTA per game since 2019-20 (20/21st in NBA) EMBARRASSING especially behind guys like Trae, Harden, Dame just to name a few!
They both get hacked a ton in the paint with no calls more then any superstar I’ve ever seen in my 40yrs watching NBA basketball (and going to 30+ games yearly since 87-88 center court row 9/11/13 as dad season tix once we got Reggie Miller to pair with “Rifleman” Chuck Person) and they’ve been robbed of at least 2-3 PPG since 2019-20!
LeBron at least got a good whistle his first 7yrs pre “The Decision” but it’s gotten worse every year since.
I hear ppl say Joker Bron get away with offensive fouls, and defensive fouls which I don’t totally agree with, but what ppl leave out is they RARELY shoot 10+ FTA in a game whereas Wilt Shaq Giannis Embiid Malone & prime MJ Shai Harden Oscar Jerry West Kobe etc 10+ FTA a ton!
PS I love how Adam rounded up SGA 9.0 FTA per game to “20 FTA per game” 😆

Zeke should be in to start the game when AG is out. We are routinely giving up 35+ pts in the 1st quarter.
It is simple…one all star and rest are middle score players.
Why are the refs allowing this to go on to a 3x MVP?

I think the answer is getting Jokic the ball lower in the box. He has to adapt by not looking for the pass or trying to strengthen position with a drible because the double is coming. He has to just go up and through the opponent if they are going to put a smaller defender on him. Hes going to have to create contact on the shot and stop fading away. Get players and teams in foul trouble. I get he doesn't want to play that way….i just dont care. The right way to play is the way that results in winning.

How do we feel about Jokic and Murray running an extended 2-man game at the three point line. AG and Nnaji post up on either side in the dunker spot running pick and roll to get open then leaving MPJ in a corner where he can break to top of the three if open and stretch the defense. It causes teams to have to play big in the paint where each player has an 1-2 actions they go to depending on each defenders read and play.
I will say this it’s a great strategy. But what happens if the nuggets start raining 3’s at 15 plus per game?
A championship!
The fact that teams are using this in the regular season shows just how much teams fear Joker.
So for the next 20 games.
The nuggets should just shoot everything.

It’s working for the teams to an extent because the refs don’t call any fauls for Jokic. It’s ridiculous to watch. And on the other end, when Jokic tries to play defense, he immediately gets call for a faul.. often when he hasn’t done anything wrong!
As a Wolves fan I agree Jokic doesn’t get foul calls like he should. But in playoffs no one gets foul calls so Jokic is preparing. Now, SGA on the other hand. It’s disgusting how often the Free Throw Merchant gets to the line. OKC and Shai are in for a big shock when they get to the playoffs, I don’t know if they’ll be able to adjust where Nuggets will be conditioned to the no calls. The Wolves will be waiting for Nuggets on backend of the OKC back to back!
Nobody talks about fighting back with the same defensive method. They foul Jokic but don't call 2-3 times before he even gets the ball. Why doesn't Denver do the same to their opponent with Zeke and Payton on their best player. If it's done that way I think Jokic will play better under that pressure than the opponent's best player in 90% of the games.

Issue is that the rest of the Nuggets roster is a bit of a pushover. When Brown made Jokic bloody he should have been bodied and put on his butt by some of Nuggets bench players. Instead, they let him bully Murray on offense. If refs don't call fouls you don't whine about it to refs, you make them call fouls by playing over the top physical, so they have to call fouls or risk having a fight on court.
When OKC game comes, if Lu Dort bodies Jokic and Nuggets don't get a foul call, Zeke Najji needs to body check SGA to the ground and fall over him and make refs call fouls. And then you run into them yelling why are you calling this, I fought we allowed to push and body check players on court.
