    You would still be complaining with 4 first round picks. If you trade for another star you aren’t getting a ton of picks. Normally, At best it’s role players and a few picks in a trade for a star. Though I would never trade him

    You only get four 1sts if you sign and trade. LA got Luka on a one year rental and are going to have to try and resign him. If he was locked up for 4 years, it's a totally different deal.

    So the Mavs screwed up because things got personal and they didn't want Luka to get the supermax from ANYONE, not just the Mavs.

    If you are a Mavs fan you should be celebrating that Lakers (Luka) winning. Dallas is going to tank now so there is no rivalry, Luka was loyal to the Dallas and wanted to spend his career there. So the more success Lakers have the more Nico looks like a fool. Which is what you want for a guy who betrayed someone who was loyal to your city.

    Dude Cuban is ridiculous. Sure having 3 additional unprotected 1st round picks would be better…. But Luka is significantly better than 99% of the of all player that go top 5 in the draft. Cooper Flagg likely won’t be as good as Luka… Wemby likely won’t be as good as Luka… Luka is a proven playoff winner at 25 years old. Players like that don’t grow on trees

Never thought that would happen…I wish you three could go with him and take over LockedOn Lakers. Anyway, keep up the good work.

    Mark post trade has NOT been here for fans, the shouting in that game doesn’t bother me, the lack of communication does. Hes still part of the org and loves to talk on twitter or now blue sky yet after the trade he was nowhere to be found. At this point, whatever Dirk thinks is what I think, Cuban was too little too late.

    I really hope Cuban wasn't getting any of the hate. I think it's straight up criminal that the owners kept him out of the loop until it was too late. He still owns shares in the team right? How do you keep a minority owner out of the loop in a decision that has ultimately cost him a fortune?

    And I knew from the start that Cuban would've been against it because of what had happened with Nash. How Cuban's analytic guys were saying that Nash was done, his body is just gonna break down (and it did…just not as quickly as they estimated), and ultimately a contract was NOT worth it.

    Well, Cuban learned from that. And sure, whoever is saying Luka's body is gonna be finished by 31 absolutely could be right. But since many NBA GOATs don't get really going until age 27 (LeBron, Shaq, Jordan, Jokic and many others were 27-ish when they got their first championship & planted their flag as GOATs) sooooo AT LEAST gimme until Luka is 27 before we jump ship on his conditioning & whatnot.

    Anyway, it doesn't matter. YOU NEVER TRADE A FACE OF THE LEAGUE!!!! I said it on Day 1, when you do something like that it opens you up to a Sports Curse. And in the month since, how the fuck are the Mavs NOT cursed?

    The thing about tanking in this situation is this front office DOESN'T WANT this team to improve or be good. They want the bury this team into the ground and out of here. So even if they had a chance to get cooper, they would trade that chance away.

Your team management expressly solicited the Lakers to get the best defensive player in the NBA, and got exactly who they wanted in return for a player they were shopping on the premise of what they believed to be a flawed work ethic & poor physical condition. Wtf did you expect? You got one great First Team All NBA player, one very good 21 y.o. Max Christie, who will be great & one unprotected 1st Round draft pick (TBD), who might be better than all of them. You got plenty in return for a Luka Doncic. One player cannot be worth an entire team & the blatant disregard & disrespect for the players that now wear the Mavs uniform, is frankly disgusting & I hope when A.D. returns, that you feel the shame you so richly deserve. Kobe Bryant was traded for one player. ONE PLAYER!!!! Michael Jordan was selected AFTER Sam Bowie. Get over yourselves & try to appreciate the team & the players you have who, in spite of your offensive remarks & disrespect, deserve better.

    There IS a best-case scenario for the Mavs, but it won't be likely. All players except Kyrie come back in full health to start next season, Max Christie blossoms into a star, they luck out in the lottery with a great pick, and Kyrie comes back healthy and rejuvenated after all-start break in time for a playoff push. Like I said, best-case, but not likely.

    But for this dumb deal PLUS continually trash talking the star putting up huge numbers on his new team… while AD got injured then Kyrie…
