The weirdest thing to me on the list but he was way smaller of a build back then so probably faster but seeing Giannas at 3 is weird and Middleton was playing the 2
I think this might be the best “what will the nba look like in 5 years” article because it’s really hard to predict what the nba will look like 5 years into the future with so many draft busts, injuries, and breakout players changing the whole nba and this list isn’t that bad especially the East teams
In 2017 the Wolves could have had a starting lineup of Kris Dunn, Zach Lavine, Andrew Wiggins, Lauri Markannen, and KAT. Then they ruined it by trading for one year of Jimmy Butler. They're lucky they got the #1 pick in 2020.
BR actually did pretty well IMO: – Celtics, Lakers, Bucks, Warriors are all great – Mavs and Wolves would be great if they didn't trade their franchise players out of nowhere – Suns are a very good starting 5 on paper – Sixers would be great if not for injuries
I just thought this quote was really funny from it about the 76ers: "They may make the penultimate placement look foolish five years down the road by exploding to the top of the Eastern Conference and becoming the Association's newest dynasty. But this entire core could also flounder and frustrate believers in the trusted process. That second outcome seems massively unlikely"

They should have had Detroit pistons 🔥🔥🔥
That sigh for the wizards
Sorry fenny 😢
Man Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot… that’s a name I haven’t seen in years.
Also the Suns is hilarious, Booker and 4 busts was supposed to be the best team in the West according to BR 😂
Lakers won a chip, Mavs went to finals, Warriors won a chip, Bucks won a chip, Suns went to finals, Twolves conference finals, Celtics won a chip
Lakers at 5 !✋🏽

Suns before: ass
Suns 2019-2022: hey we’re kind cooking something here
Suns now: still ass
Don’t worry Andrew, at least the Mavericks stole the title of the most poverty franchise in the NBA for the next few years.
where’s the part where the sleeper pick is a washington team
Shoutout Creighton legend Justin Patton
They mostly got the bucks and Celtics 76ers so the eat
Dennis Smith Jr is still a great player

“The Mavs drafted Luka “
If you don’t know Luka got drafted by the hawks
why they predict that everyone will remain on the same team? that never happens
Bro don't use the Lord's name in vain
The Mavericks actually didn’t draft Luka the Hawks did

Sorry about the Wizards. I live in Virginia but my dad loves the Bucks, so I root for them. Hopefully Alex Sarr becomes better. 😕
Now Kat is deathly afraid of jimmy lmao
Mavs didn’t draft Luka 😂
Question Mark played on multiple teams at once 😂 jk
