The Celtics improve their record to 46-18 with the win, while the Lakers fall to 40-22 for the season. This right there is coaching. The fact the celtics play this good individual defense is Joe Mazzula instilling in them from training camp that if you get switched out on Lebron, luka, sga, ant, whoever you have to stand your ground. They won't double and allow open threes.

Stephen A pregame analysis describing this game as preview to the Finals was the dumbest overstatement he made recently. To say that the Lakers are a championship team is naive. The presence of the Nuggets, warriors and OKC makes it even harder for the Lakers .

Celtics are good at getting mostly ball when they reach in but ya never know how tight the refs are gonna call it. It worked out tonight but I fear they're going to put them at the line a lot with that strategy in the Finals. NBA is gonna try to keep it close. Just keep your hands out of the cookie jar and move your feet and you'll be fine

oh, this ain't lock down defense. This is straight up handchecking and grabbing with no calls from the ref. Lakers clearly didn't get the same luxury (just this game), they couldn't touch the Celtics without getting foul calls. It's tough, but Lakers last 3 games had calls in favor of them so I guess its a trade off. I think Lebron even pointed at one of the ref late in the 3rd with the "money hand" gesture for the calls. It was hilarious. Celtic defense was just really average this game.
