The mission this season is to win a championship. The New York Knicks are currently locked in and focused on making the team better overall each game and improving the chemistry. However, NY also made many moves this offseason that left them without draft picks for several years. To continue building for the future, NY needs to be smart in what talent that they add and develop. One of those prospects was Moses Brown, a 7’2 monster gifted with some amazing abilities, though still raw as a player. Unfortunately for NY, we’ll never know what impact he could have had as the Indiana Pacers STOLE him from the Knicks to bolster their roster hit by a number of injuries… Troy Mahabir breaks all of this down!

Why would you sign him and how would he get minutes over over Ariel or Jericho and Mitchell's coming back and you have Carl Anthony towns then you have Precious coming back. Watched Moses for a while. He could have started next to Towns! Does and gives a lot of what Mitch does. In my humble opinion he is better than Sims and Hukporti!

Apparently, “Brown was ineligible for a two-way contract, so the Knicks likely intended to waive him before the season started but instead had him join the Westchester Knicks in the NBAGL.”
Moses Brown is no joke. The problem with Brown is that no one gave him a fair chance. In this Era of Centers making 3's and shots rather than rim-protecting and Rebounding. Why would a team want him? But Moses is the definition of a true center. And getting Offensive Rebounds technically is the same as a defensive turnover. So he can only shoot within his comfort zone, well that zone just happens to be very close to the Rim.
So what he lacks in certain areas he makes up for with doing his job and that is to Be a Rim Protector and Rebounding Machine oh yeah and a shot blocker at the same time scoring in double digits if plays more than 9 minutes a game. I studied his numbers over the years and his Per 36 was in the area of some decent centers out there. He just needs Minutes and adjustment to the new team that he just got on. And that is another thing overlooked. He played for some NBA teams at the time of need and he did it very well.
I don't know if anyone remembers when he was on the Cavs back in 2022 and Mobley got hurt and they were in the playoffs So Moses Brown signed a 10 day contract with them in March of 2022 and he did very well for them considering it was the playoffs and the team was new to him. And he was getting double-doubles.
