How did you not think the Lakers had enough? They got Luka. Look at the rosters Luka dragged to the playoffs for the last five years (last year notwithstanding).

Life with A.D as your number 1 option is going to be torture. A.D is a dynamic player, but he is too injury prone. Mavs fans don't need to experience the roller-coaster A.D took Pelicans and Lakers fans on.

AD has talent that is for sure. He is a good player and big. But this Dallas team is done for. Kyrie will not be back next year and if he does somehow get back, it will take another year for him to be fully right. I am not even sure there is such a thing after an ACL. He also has a bad back.
A healthy Mavs is a top 2 defense in the league. Top 8 offense
AD did nothing wrong. Seems like a good guy. I am sure the fans will like him. People are ticked off at Nico and ownership. From what I can tell, most everyone likes all the MAVS players. That is what makes trading Luka even worse. People genuinely liked the team as a whole. The team was more like a family than anything. I think that is why Luka isn't his old self in LA yet either. LA doesn't feel like a family.

You guys are either still missing the point or simply glossing over it with false hope. This team is dead to a lot of fans because of management and ownership for not only what they did but how they went about it all and how they spoke and acted afterwords spoke volumes about them, their Basketball IQ and their level of respect towards the fan base.
