OKC Thunder’s CHAMPIONSHIP Mentality vs. Denver, SGA Stamps MVP Case?
The Oklahoma City Thunder downed the Denver Nuggets in a game that showed the OKC Thunder are a title worthy team. It was a statement win for the Thunder over the Nuggets in a game where OKC looked like the more under control team. Oklahoma City leaned on its depth to out duel Denver who has a shallow roster. Did Shai Gilgeous-Alexander stamp his MVP case over Nikola Jokic on Sunday? Chet Holmgren, Isaiah Hartenstein and Jaylin Williams need a lot of credit for this game. Jalen Williams proved he is ready for bright lights. Rylan Stiles breaks it all down.

I wonder if Chet is playing tomorrow, would like to see caso in the starting line tomorrow to switch things up
This win was absolutely necessary to not only silence the haters (yes they’ll still be there) but also cement us as the favorites
Leave your thoughts below on the game!
I disagree with Rylan that this game and tomorrow won't decide the MVP. I had already said in my group chat that whoever wins and shows out these two games would win it. Gotta win tomorrow though, because splitting the series muddies the waters.
how much better would they have to be for you to consider it a disaster?
There will be no westbrook slander from a thunder fan.
GO THUNDER!!! NO MATTER WHAT, FOSSILIZED LIKE 🦖ON THAT 🏔
This was a good win. Denver will be a threat come playoff time. One of the big things this accomplished is it will shut some people up for a little bit.
This team is making history!!!
Seems to me that the Thunder will rout the Nuggets as long as Russell Westbrook doesn't have the greatest shooting game of his career.
Championship mentality is the right word here! I’d say they played a B- or a B game, they didn’t shoot well, but they fought hard won the boards by 8 and imposed their all game long
OKC defense is going to be tough for Joker.
Gotta beat em tomorrow. Love ya Ryan u know ur thunder stuff ❤. Lets goooooooooooo 🌩️
I like and agree with your take on MVP. Id give it to shai if I was a voter, but its completely understandable if someone would vote for or give it to jokic
As happy as I was for the win, I still want everyone to remember Aaron Gordon did get injured early… we were being outplayed with him on the court. Let’s not get too comfortable
OKC has the all time highest point differential in NBA history this season at last check and it was around 13 points per game. Almost every team in history that has an all time high rank in this category has gone on to win a championship. This is a historically great team.

THUNDER🆙
Only 2 players in the last 40 years have recorded 30+ PTS in 40+ games over 3 consecutive seasons:
Michael Jordan
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander
Rylan is right to question a team this young going all the way. There is no doubt about their talent—it's off the charts, literally. The same goes for their discipline—it's uncanny. This team will win a championship when they have the right metal.
The only true test of a team's metal is in a real fight and regular-season games just aren't hot enough to temper the steel properly. The playoffs are like adding a bellows to a furnace to make a sword. A bellows makes the fire burn more efficiently and thus hotter. A playoff loss is like the cold water the sword is plunged into to make the steel harder. The question is whether a loss in the 2nd round was hot enough.
As fans, all we can do is watch, and hope. Are these kids ready yet? We'll see.
Why do all the media members show disdain when talking about Russ? Is this because of how he treated Barry Trammel and y'all arr looking out for your own? If it is that's sad because Barry deserved every bit of what Russ gave to him. The fact that the media here from podcasts to radio always throw out this little bit of hate/shade towards him wouldnt be so noticeable if it was one or two. However, when it's all of y'all it puts into question y'alls integrity.
People keep forgetting that this team was literally constructed to beat Boston. Thats what makes OKC scary
Why do I have the extremely strong sense that Chet is entering his dominant period and will be the difference in the playoffs?
Rylan, thanks again. As this season has progressed we are seeing the natural maturity of 21-24 kids and the integration of two key pieces, IHart and Alex. We always preach patience but patience is now having its rewards, as Scripture teaches us.
They talked non-stop about Jokic's elbow and never once mentioned that he punched Shai in the junk while flopping so hard that he hurt the elbow.
Shai's gonads 1
Joker's elbow 0
I love Westbrook
Sincerely,
OKC thunder super fan
Im starting to think we could Win the West even if Dub is no better this yr in playoffs. If Chet is healthy, we could have enough depth to get by in West.
