EXCELLENT COMPARISON 10/10 NEXT BARON DAVIS. AND I LOVE BARON
Is it just me or didn’t we hype up KEYONTE GEORGE the same kinda way last year…!?!
I like your Baron Davis comp. Cody is at risk for a vicious circle of lagging rookie confidence draped on his slight build that's struggling to be assertive in a fast, big game. Sprinkle in frequent comparisons to a star older brother. I would like to see him make a perfectly timed, late home game block at the rim, grab the deflection, rocket outlet to Sexton, sprint the floor and receive it back for a lob dunk over a defender. The opponent is forced to call a time out. Yeah, that might help.
Isaiah Collier at 7 in a redraft is about right. Bub Carrington has had a great year but Collier has proven so far he’s the best point guard other than Stephon Castle (if he is a point guard)in the 2024 draft. Cody Williams is going to take another year or two to build muscle and become a good shooter. He would be 10 to 15 in a redraft. Flip would be in the 15 to 25 range but definitely a 1st rounder.
Great comp for Collier, Leif! Always look forward to your analysis!
Lou Dort?
Collier started the season injured. I may be wrong but I also feel like he has lost some weight… maybe game conditioning.
I can see why Locke likes having you as host, you have a kind personality and you are very informative.
At times it feels that Williams is suffering from paralysis by analysis. He is playing to not make mistakes, which means he's making mistakes. As Coach Hardy lets him play through mistakes, like he has done with Keyonte, Cody will be fine. Cody is a very cerebral player. He often seems to make the right decision, right now, its just seems that it is a little late due to the speed of the game. As he gets stronger, and the game slows down for him he will be really good.
Does Flip bulk up like Damantas and Lauri or stay thinner with perhaps more flexibility?
To me that's the best comp I've heard, and I actually been thinking this as well!
Love you Leif but here, you remind me of my nephew when i tell him put on his coat and hat by himself 😂
great job. All of the stats are super interesting regarding draft pick success. Could you break down the PHX draft pick trade into more detail? For example the Cavs pick this year will be pick 29 and that pick has a % of success, then speculate the % for the other two picks and what pick do we need to get back to have the % be equal. I can see why the jazz made the trade, but just like our best trade chip of the lakers pick, got shot to hell after the Luka trade. We couldn't take on 3 new rookies again. I am guessing we tried to trade some of the picks in 2024 draft. The draft is about luck and % and having more picks leads to more % at some point. Look at this year. Pick 10 Williams, we all thought it was a great pick and a giant steal. It is not looking good yet. Collier at 29 we were excited about, but now has completely exceed expectations. Flip at 32 has also been a steal for now. We are only looking at a small sample size, but I guess I need an example of player that gets sent to the G-League, but then turns into a super-star or even role player that plays significant minutes. I agree with the comment below, didn't we hype George as well, what has happened to his game and why? The Hendricks pick isn't looking great so far either. Yes an injury, but his numbers from last year don't look great. maybe we went big game hunting, but we didn't hit anything yet. We need to finish in the bottom 3 and get a top 3 pick. It would also be nice to have the T-wolves lose some games and be in the lottery.
