Cant hide it any more… every year team gets a little worse… Any other franchise would do everything to stay on top, but not Denver… Small minded franchise! Its a shame, they will not get this chance ever again…
Off course that they were bad because Malone played super short rotation. He will burn them with playoff rotation in regular season. Bringing freaking Westbrook is big mistake. He doesnt exists on defense. He just doesn't want to defend 3 pts and chasing rebounds leaving the perimeter. Denver should find back up center , not sloppy Westbrook. Porter is so bad at defense it is hard to watch.
Playing with 3 guards is just bad. Malone is insanely delusional coach. Playing so rigid. Westbrook is pg–who had 5 turnovers and JUST 1 assists that is not good game 🙄
jokic and russ held their own murray and mpj stink though 38 million and 44 million a year to be inconsistent role players use that money to get jokic 2 real allstar players that are consistent and the nuggets will go back to back what were the nuggets thinking giving those contracts out those are literally all star and all nba contracts
Like to think of myself as a reasonable Lakers fan. Even with the Luka trade I still did not want to see Denver in round 1. NOW. Not so worried.
The problem isn't the Wolves. It's the Nugs and their inability to shoot. MPJ needs to go. Murray needs to go. They're going to lose this season, and their lack of ability of make shots (by them and the rest of the team) is going to ruin Jok's triple double season. Joker has banked 24 extra assists to date. They need to step up. They're ruining Jok's MVP chances and can ruin his triple double season. Wake up, kids. Forty million dollars a year should be more than enough to get you off your arse and play hard.
Come on guys. This was a dud for Malone. You can't go small vs that team. He set the team up for failure right from the start and then didn't make a single adjustment. Just stood there looking lost. Malone's a good coach, but this wasn't his finest moment.
Four assists = no one can make an effing shot. Murray was open enough. MPJ was open enough. Christian, Pickett, Watson, Zeke…..someone make a damn shot. Imagine having Zack Levane right now. Having Gordon will help, but there is no reason to believe he'll be able to play more than two games before going down again.

After watching that Court of Gold documentary, I’m convinced a European coach that won’t coddle these soft American/Canadian NBA players, is what’s needed for the Nuggs.
Similar to how we have the Lakers’ number, the Wolves have our number. Jamal is defeated before every tipoff vs Wolves. Let Jok score and make the rest of squad score off their own shot creation. Wolves have the personnel to successfully execute this.

Every negative comment here is going to be an overreaction. Malone went light on the postgame because he viewed this as a probable schedule loss after a shorthanded Nuggets team played very hard on b2bs against the Thunder, which was also 3 games in 4 days with travel. It is a tough matchup and without Gordon and given the schedule, it’s just not a regular season game to get so worked up about.
Wolves fan here. It's simple, the Joker has carried this team for years. There isn't enough around him. Period.
So heres the part where I repeat what I said last year…… avoid the wolves at all costs. Hope they go on a run and end the season in 4th while Denver gets the 2 spot. They own Denver
