  1. OKC vs Cle should be one of the easier Finals to market. Two young teams in "small" markets who have risen to championship status again years after their generational stars left. Or you can go bare bones and just go Shai & Chet vs. Donovan & Evan. Dynamic guards vs. dynamic bigs. Or two teams that are top 10 in both defense and offense. There are a lot of storylines the league could go with.

  2. It sucks because Melo is right, they won't get any respect until they beat Boston, but if they were in a big market, they would definitely get more respect

  3. For all the people trying to say that okc and cavs are like Utah and the hawks is crazy. No one on the hawks could get you 50 , and the bench on Utah had nothing

  4. It’s Cleveland against the world as usual, and it will take Cleveland winning it all this year for the media to give the Cavs their respect. But I guarantee if Cleveland wins it all, and I hope we do, the media will make excuses for Boston to try to downplay the Cavs winning. It won’t be about how incredible this team has been all year, the unselfishness they play with. The ball movement, the defense, the depth, the 3 point shooting, Donovan Mitchell’s leadership, Even Mobley becoming the player he should be and Garland playing like himself. The Cavs are having the greatest regular season in team history and I’m so proud of the team. Just sucks the media is being so biased. But I get it, small market vs big market. But it shouldn’t matter.

  5. Not only eliminating boston but getting the 💍 and shaking lebron off as spider said "i want to replace what lebron did" and the front office did an excellent job best in the league

  6. Change up the dialogue. The media companies want the big market matchups for advertising dollars. The league goes along with what they want.

  7. Denver the year they won was criticized for the same exact thing. Suddenly when they won, every analyst made it sound like they predicted Denver would win. Same thing with Boston.. for years the narrative was they couldn't get it done in the post season. Hell, they almost broke up their 2 superstars when they collapsed against Miami… Now every analyst views them as the unbeatable giants.

These analysts are a bunch of prisoner of the moment pundits. The moment Cleveland does something good in the post season, these are the same clowns that will tell the world, they knew Cleveland was so good

  8. Yeah Kwen C, I think Boston is a good team but they are very beatable. Yeah they are the champs but they were not even challenged last year. I think it’s an even playing field. This can really go either way!

  9. I'VE BEEN SAYING THIS. Thank you for speaking my thoughts out loud. I've felt like I'm going crazy lately with all the disrespect the cavs get. Even Windy disrespects them with an offhand "they probably can't beat Boston". Like what? Back that statement up with evidence. I hate when people say stuff so definitively. Like man it depends

  10. What doesn't make sense is that the Cavs have new coaches, more experienced players and are healthy. It's called progressing in talent and experience. Teams don't just become great. There are usually seasons of playing together that you see the gradual improvement until bam, one season they're top shelf talent and contenders. You have to become better as you play. That's how it goes. The Knicks have no business even being mentioned with the Cavs. The Cavs have blown their drawers off. This is a natural path of becoming a great team. They are right on track to doing what is expected with their talent pool. The bench is the improvement. Thats the difference between last year's Cavs and the Knicks two seasons ago. The Knicks lost their bench and defense to sacrifice for offense this year. Ain't gonna work.

  11. That's just how media works man, they're uncreative, as most people are, so they only know what their little brains can contain. So Cleveland has lost a lot with their sports teams, and that's what they're going to ride with forever. Even though actually our sports teams have been relatively dominant for the last 10 years. You know of course excluding the browns. And as soon as we win everybody will have known that we were going to.

  12. Cleveland has always been a punching bag. They always will be. Get over it. Drop it. Don't make the media the story.

The story is OKC and Cleveland are historic teams. It has to be this way. Cleveland cannot win a championship, unless it was one for the ages.

In 2016 they came back from 3-1 deficit to beat the most successful team in NBA history. These 2 teams met 4 straight seasons. GS won 3 of them but Cleveland beat the best of those 4 teams.

The 2016 team took the crown and stand atop the mounta in as the greatest team to ever play basketball. If they win 73 games this year and beat an OKC that wins 72. They can take that crown away from the 2016 team.

That is the story. Stick with it.

  13. Cavs went from playin to first round to second round to first seed and probably a run to the ECF or finals. They legit have one of the most reasonable trajectories as a team/franchise you can have steady progression. They be acting like the Cavs been the first seed the last few years and been folding up in the playoffs or something 💀 but every year they’ll say the Clippers or 76ers are a threat when they never live up to peoples expectations but it’s the Cavs that you can’t trust 😒smh

  14. One of the biggest problems I have with the NBA and NBA media is they act like they don’t know how to build brands. They can market superstars but they can’t or refuse to build the brands of the franchises they have so they default to just talking about the brands that’s already established or super easy stars to market. Melo is right put this exact team in NY or LA and you getting stories about them hella often I remember espn trying to force Lonzo, BI, Randle and Kuzma like they were some great up and coming young core but they fr did that because they played for the Lakers, put that same core in Milwaukee and you not hearing about them fr

  15. Most of the NBA pundits and critics are totally forgetting the recent history of the Cavs. They have improved every year since the 2021 COVID season.

    2022 – Made the play-in tournament
2023 – Made the playoffs(first time making the playoffs without Lebron since 1998!)
2024 – Made it to the second round of the playoffs

The team was still learning 2 years ago, which is why they lost to the Knicks.
Last year, they were banged up against the Celtics. No Mitchell, no Allen. They weren't gonna beat the Celtics missing 2 starters.

This year, well, numbers don't lie! They've been the best team in the league ALL SEASON!! If they can stay healthy going in to the playoffs, the only team i am remotely concerned about is the Celtics.

    So we'll see what happens!

  16. Nobody will remember you or respect you during the regular season. Win in the playoffs and hold up the trophy. That’s pure respect and nobody can take that from you…never!!😊😊😊

  17. Yo all Love from Brasil man they don´t like us but we love this team and they already make History lets hope they can go all the way to the championship (sorry for my poor english im still learning) Lets go Cavs!!!

  18. Cavs have swept The Bucks, The Raptors, The Nets, The Hornets, The Wizards and are 2-0 against GSW, Denver, Minnesota, The Pelicans, Mavs, and Lakers. We split with Boston 2-2 with both wins coming IN Boston and lost a close game at home with Strus, LeVert, Merrill(?), Okoro and Dean Wade all injured. Split with OKC. WHO is going to stop The Cavs from reaching The Finals this year? NOBODY.

  19. Yall are acting like it’s the same Cavs team that lost in the playoffs, it’s honestly not and people hating are gonna continue to eat their words

  20. I think a lot of people need to see it in the postseason to buy in. Not just because it's the Cavs, but also Donovan Mitchell. Utah had the #1 seed throughout the playoffs in 2021 and looked scary good and they bowed out in the second round. I also think the NBA is desperate for a big market / big franchise dynasty that they are going to oversell Boston. We could all eat our words in a few months and Boston goes back to back for the first time since 1969, but they don't have as many horses as OKC or Cleveland has nor do they have a generational superstar like Jokic. So they could very well lose to the Cavs or they could even lose in the second round if Milwaukee sneaks into the #3 seed. They aren't the clearcut favorite that everyone has made them out to be.
