Celtics is doing pretty bad in the 4th quarter consistently.
Real reason Celtics lost:
1. No production whatsoever from the bench(same as what happened to Cleveland)
2. Chucking bad shot threes
3. JB fouling out, also got into foul trouble vs Cleveland and cost us the game in when he had to sit for 10 minutes in the third and fourth.
4. DWhite shot poorly
5. JB shot awful
6. Fouls.
Same exact way they lost to Cleveland. OKC and Cleveland are a cut above the entire rest of the league.
I didn’t take Tatum for a casual. OKC is 27th in FTA’s. Talkin about they always get to the FT line. They always lose the FT battle. Keep trying to cope Tatum and eat that sweep.
Is KP ever gonna play again?! 😢
The game was lost in the 4th at the 7th minute mark. The Celtics players started missing wide open threes and stopped moving the ball. In one sequence, Brown missed a wide open three, Holiday got the rebound and forced another three and missed instead of resetting the offense.
"We'll see when we get there!" Lmao, thats right🤣🤣 Nobody is beating us in a 7 game series🍀🍀
OKC is just really good. They were one year early last year. Tatum gets it, I would imagine. The thing is, they're calling the stuff he'd normally get away with late in games recently. Illegal screens and travelling in particular. He gets away with that most of the time and he knows that. The nightly over/under on him clearing out is probably north of 15. He does it about half the time he puts the ball on the deck. He knows how he's officiated, so he's not expecting the calls late. I don't think they'll ever call him for clearing out unless somebody sells it and plants themselves in the third row, but it seems they're willing to call the travelling and illegal picks in big moments. That pick last night was NFL Tackle quality. I thought he was going to send the guy to half court. You're almost asking them to call it at that point, but I've seen crazier stuff in the NBA. One thing I've learned as a Cavs fan all these years is the officials are playing another game. A game within the game. Best thing to do is let them do whatever they're going to do and not think about it too much. Treat the officiating like it's an NBA rule randomizer that goes off arbitrarily. You'll be a lot happier for it. Can't really say exactly the same for the players, because they're in the moment, they can challenge calls now, and complaining about calls traditionally yields results. If I were coaching though, I would routinely remind the players of this. Don't get too distracted by the officiating. They have to play their game too.
Anyways. With Krispy Poorzingis healthy, you guys aren't losing a series if you're making threes (which should be most of the time). It's like the old Warriors teams without Durant. You could damn there figure out whether or not they won by looking at their three percentage. Krispy facilitates that. Makes you legit. Hopefully the Cavs and Celts are both healthy this year, and I can at least see it play out.
35 free throws?? C'mon…either let them play, or call it both ways ! Both teams were playing physical D…and driving to the basket! The better team tonight won! I'm still rolling with the Cs in a 7 game series! Both teams healthy.
The three 3-pointers in the last minutes of the game that went in by OKC had nothing to do with refs Thats the facts. The biggest 3 point shooting team in the league was beaten by the 3-pointer.
The Celtics likely won't get a rematch with OKC till next season. The top teams of the league are apparent when you look at win-loss record. Boston will have to hope someone else takes out the top two teams in the playoffs for a Celtic repeat to happen.
Tough not having KP against the best teams
JB HAS TO BE BETTER
Jason, please just say the truth we shot the ball poorly tonight, they got to the line 35 times I’m sorry 35 free throws when it should’ve been half of that you didn’t get to the line no matter how much you got half and we just say what it is I know you’ll get fine but sometimes it’s good to send a message
A healthy Porzingus will dramatically alter the calculus.
They lost cause the 3's didn't go in, Tatum still the face over SGA.
In the 4th, the Celtics opted to shoot 3’s in critical scoring moments. They missed those 3’s. Great looks but they missed. It boils down to that for me. Tough loss but I’m not losing my mind over it
I watch that game the refs were calling fouls on Boston but wasn't calling them on ok
I like his response. Not crying about it just learn from it and move on to the next game
63 three point attempts
Keep white or holiday on him even though brown our best defender on ball shai get the whitsle a lot and that better than having brown in foul’s trouble
For everyone saying 60 3's is the problem, more often than not the celtics are going to shoot fine and if they dont shoot like dog shit those 60 3s dont even get mentioned cuz they win comfortably. Relax
The Thunder are a very physical and handsy team. The Celtics don’t like that. They don’t play that way and they get frustrated when they don’t get calls. What makes it difficult to match that “physicality” is that you can’t really guard SGA that way. He’s a foul hunter and very good at drawing fouls. In that way it’s like how the Celtics used to struggle against the Heat. The Heat were super handsy, but you can’t really touch Butler because foul drawing/baiting is a big part of his game. The Celtics first kind of avoided the situation by kicking the ball out after paint touches, but then when they did start to go to the rim to score they get frustrated with no calls. Jaylen especially lost his cool. They have a lot of size advantages they didn’t use to bully OKC until late. They also didn’t rush and double SGA a lot, which is by far the best way to defend him. OKC’s PPP when you attack SGA like that is under 1, I think. I’ll be curious to see OKC in the playoffs when teams are game planning for them, when everyone is playing super hard, and when depth is less of an advantage. Should be exciting!
As a Celtics fan… No Bull-shit. OKC is the real deal. Cavs and Okc going to be a tough out.
They need to understand when to switch it up i mean when you go 15 and 50 on threes like its about time to switch the strategy.. cause it wasnt working.. drue put a few of the pass outs in as layups and easily this makes ot a game.. shooting over 50 3s is crazy man… i dont mind when they have balance.. but last night was not balanced it was heavy 3 and die on that
.
Glad he said this as a player you should never blame the refs that’s the fans and medias job
