  1. Miss the playoffs. Get a good pick this year. Fire washed up Riley and they will have a chance to be good soon and the lost picks won’t be as valuable.

  2. Anthony what about Drew Smith, will he be ready for next season? He is a true point guard. Trade Rozier Duncan, Wiggins, Highsmith, and the 2,1st round picks and get Edwards from Minnesota ?

  3. Valuing these pick protections over potentially high lottery pick players, one that could, for once, be a real franchise player is absolutely idiotic.

I hate listening to this utter foolishness about the pick protections. We don’t tank, so what are we planning on being a lottery team next year? Is that why we need the pick next year over getting an awesome rookie this year? Are we planning to suck in 2027 and worried about Charlotte getting our lottery pick that year?

If we have 2 FRPs, one of which can end up being a top 4 pick…is that going to make us worse next year? It’s having higher quality trade assets worse?

Tell me how these pick protections are going to help us concretely? Someone, please. One good reason why a pick protection is better than your best shot since getting Dwyane Wade at getting another Dwyane Wade…anyone.

Are we scared of Atlanta next year? Chicago? Orlando? So scared that we can’t get in the playoffs next year with a better Ware, better Jovic, a full offseason and training camp with Wiggins, Mitchell, Slo Mo? That’s the scenario where we should want that pick next year instead of this year.

It’s patently crazy, and just makes me realize how silly the people running things are.

We were lucky enough to stink in a year where our pick is protected. Why even bother putting protections on if we aren’t going to be grateful for it? It’s literally the only silver lining on this season and we’re actively running from it. Crazy.

  4. I don't think anyone here has made any delusions of getting the 1st pick. But if we can luck into the top 4 by catching Portland in the standings. The better chances of us getting someone we really like, vs getting someone that we thought was just what was best available when it was our turn to pick.

  5. In addition to all your points about getting the lottery this year, which i share…we have Ware and Jovic, both 20-21 years old, I’d rather get the rookie closer to their age to bring up with them.

  6. 2024 The Hawks were in the 10th position . They got 1st pick 3:49

We can realistically drop 8th position
6 percent chance to land .Copper Flagg

Currently we are 11th which is 2 percent chance

    Need to Tank

  7. If your a heat fans you want us to miss the playoffs and have two draft picks in the deep NBA draft this summer. Where we can get Jeremiah Fears and Rasheer Fleming, Nolan Traore or another wing like Carter Bryant who we can develop. Its like Heat fans forget we are in a mini rebuild retooling the roster that way instead of str8 up tanking. Its no point making the playoffs and getting destroy in the 1st rd by Cavs who ill admit we match up with well but were not ready and if it puts our 1st rd pick in jeopardy to OKC whos the 1st seed rn with hella pick loaded its better we miss the playoffs. In addition to all that we have alot of contracts off the books in 2026 enough to sign an All Star caliber player like Luka Trae Young etc along with our young talent on the team so we dont have to worry about our 2027 being valuable because we would be a bonafide playoffs team in contention for a ring

  8. How can you hope for a higher draft pick next year or in 3 years. Does the team plan to suck more next year than this year. Are they planning to suck for the next 3 years? Should have just started tanking when the Jimmy drama started.

  9. Yes but not get a pick it trade it for ant I am tell we are getting him this off season and strat watching out for ja we know who is agents is

  10. Best way for the Heat to miss the playoffs is to be the 10th seed and lose the play-in tournament (Florida Edition) vs Orlando Magic. I wouldn't even be mad at the Heat if they lose in this manner lol

  12. I don't think they need to intentionally tank. They already have 10 scheduled losses coming and 7 more games no one would be surprised if they lossed, since they lossed to Charlotte at home. They need two top 20 pics (one of which could be top ten) right NOW😊.

  13. we just need talent! i dont care about it happens. cause this team isnt it and they dont care. they need a real leader
