RJ Barrett is the best player on our team, whomever disagrees with that can argue with the Stats. He is also the most valuable player on the team based on his contract and production. These clowns want to be New York fans so badly that they are regurgitating Knicks talking point when the Knicks was a poverty team and Randle played in the same position as RJ Barrett.
This is an objective statement. Scottie is not as good as RJ right now and is not good enough to be the main handler.

NBA wont allow Flagg to come here – the league NEEDS to get Washington and Charlotte off the ground where their management has failed miserably. Those teams are a black eye on the league. AND do you want Bailey or Harper? Two players who couldn't lead their team (on the same team) to the dance? If they can't lead in college as a top 3 pick, how they gonna lead in the NBA? Joel Embiid is a bum at this point in his career and he’s got a pretty brutal attitude so I’d want nothing to do with him
I think the trade RJ talks come from a place of seeing a supposed toxic asset become a valuable must get asset. It's hard to deny that RJ's trade value has shot up with his stint at Toronto after getting more opportunities to have consistent games. I would say that the FO does have a tricky situation since keeping him for all the reasons you explain makes sense but on the other hand trading him as his value is peaking may get you something better. Now the question becomes then what exactly is this notion of better? Trading RJ for an older max player is absurd and I would be dead set against it as it undermines the franchise player and upsets the team dynamic with the pecking order established. A guy like Durant wouldn't be a good fit as the Beal effect would happen here too as they'll get in each others way and the play styles will not be complementary. I think what is better is to go for flexibility by converting RJ's contract into two pieces with guys who fit the timeline but are paid less to plug the holes we see for the upcoming season or make way for winter trade deadline additions. I think Raptors FO can find a diamond in the rough who can be a RJ starter replacement and another piece who's a decent off the bench asset to give us more depth. That's what Raptors should be thinking … how do we get depth that meets the timeline and solidifies our bench at the same. Anyways we should try to wait and see a BI, Scottie, IQ, Jak, RJ starting 5 game to establish what moves to make. Although I do hope we don't bring an older max contract player as it would stink up the vibes these guys got going right now. Keeping RJ makes sense too don't get me wrong … but right now is about as peak as his contract is worth in the market so dangling him out there to see what GM's are willing to throw your way makes sense but Masai is shrewd enough to walk away from a bad deal; well we can only hope.

RJ Barrett is ten times better than Dick, I honestly don't have high praise for Dick. I'm shocked as well for BI. If we are trading RJ, I'd rather deal him for an actual star like Ball/Morant or someone of that stature.
