Objectively if Luka/LeBron or any future HOFer level superstar had 17 FTA (like Jokic who normally has bad whistle FTA attempt wise for sure) while Nuggets TEAM had 16 total FTA fans would be furious right?
Any team who has a 38-16 FTA edge pisses off any fan base (and lakers fans have gotten benefit of whistle more then any team since the 80s) especially when one player has more then the whole team 😅.
Also as someone who can’t stand Draymond’s illegal screens Joker has a draymond esque illegal screen they didn’t call at end either (though Knecht as a rookie didn’t sell it well at all).
I say that as someone who values Draymond’s impact a ton as a 2 way player as annoying as he is so credit to Joker for getting away with it and actually overall having a rare “good” whistle. It’s actually crazy with 17 FTA he only had 28 points as someone who has always wanted Joker to have WAY more 10+ FTA games bc I’ve said he’d avg 30+ if that were way more common (as it should be).
The issues seem so deep rooted that they won’t be fixed by the playoffs.

FIRE MALONE. I said last year, I said at the start of the year, I'll say it after their 1ST ROUND PLAYOFF EXIT this year.
Yeah, Calvin Booth isn't doing much, but it was Malone that pushed for Murray to get a suoermax contract, when no one else even wants him.
Maybe the new coach will POST UP Jokic, the greatest post player in 20 years.

This game was an embarrassment. Jokic can get a pass, cause it wasn’t even a bad game for him, just mediocre, but the guy is literally playing through injury so this team doesn’t get obliterated by the a team missing 6 of its players. Where are all the other Nuggets? 15 games left in the season, like what is this team doing??
I disagree with Vogt, the scariest thing is that when they play against focused defense, they can't score…that's actually scarier than lack of defense

Man Malone sucks as a coach . Isn't there anyway just to make Peyton Watson into a super defensive player like Tony Alken ? This guy is useless unless he's targeted to only defend. Build him up to be just a great defensive player at 6 ft 7 with a 7ft wingspan. Ugly as he'll when this guy tries to score.
Teams take the personality of their best player. Is it a surprise that th nuggets have a terrible defense when our best player takes the defensive portion of the game off every night. Love jok but I’d like some effort

The consistency of effort hasn't been there. This is our problem since last season. Why Malone and the coaching staff still not fixing this issue? Our players MPJ, sometimes Murray, and the rest of the starters better be serious and professional in this.

Murray suddenly remembers how to play in the last 6 minutes huh. Anyways, we'll see how we go this playoffs and draw conclusions from there. Roster will be better next year with possible trade of MPJ and Holmes getting healthy, so we can't possibly be worse than this
Murray cant get in his explosive mode because of freaking Westbrook. Russ stats padder is such a negative player. Literally doesnt even bother to play perimeter defense. He doesn't exists on the perimeter. It is hard to play defense with him. The man has some weird habit to chase inside for rebounds and leaving perimeter. Extremly low bb iq. Bro doesn't even try to contest..
He does not exist outside. Even when he goes outside, they just walk past him easily as if he doesn't exist. He doesn't try to get under blocks and screens at all. He just gives up and goes inside chasing rebounds. The man is a clown. At the beginning I had sympathy for him, but he is a very strange character. He saves energy for the offensive. Because of him waiting inside for rebounds, Jokic or Porter often have to run outside because Westbrook leaves his player. An incredibly negative player. I would even say a big manipulator. It's no wonder that they marked him as a stats padding player. I don't know if I've seen him even a few times in 10 games defend the outside 3-pointer. Because of that clown, our defense is atrocious. Malone needs to tell him to play defense on the outside, while he plays defense like a freaking center standing inside 🙄 That's how Barton used to work. Alibi defense. He sneaks outside and collects rebounds. That clown,, even now at 36, looks at his statistics more than playing team defense.
I dont even to talk about how he gets Ben Simmons threatment and kills our spacing. It would be hard with him in the playoff. It is insane that many people still think that he is good 🙄
Murray is only player next to Jokic who can explode in the playoff but if Westbrook has ball in his hands for many mins we are fucked up with that clown.

I can't tell if the Nuggets players are being limited by coaching or if they need more of a roster shake up. Perimeter defense and lack of 3-point shooting are killing this team.
