  1. Despite his ugly exit, Deron Williams never said anything bad about Utah. He mended things with Sloan, and I donโ€™t think he ever publicly thrashed Sloan either. It was a fun era that just ended poorly.

  2. Have a signed Delta Center canvas that includes D-Will, Jerry Sloan, and all the autographs from the 2008-09 team. Was a season ticket holder gift and was fortunate enough to get it signed by them all.
If it wasn't for the Spurs and Lakers standing in the way, I really wish those late 2000's teams could've made it to at least one Finals. Best chance was 2007 where Jazz vs Cavaliers would've been a great one and no doubt, they would've been the favorites.

  3. What SHOULD have been. The Jazz had the pieces in place and allowed a bad situation to go to a place of no looking back. I'm afraid the Jazz are too sensitive about their need to sell players b4 they leave. Yes it's hard to argue the business sense of doing this, but Deron and Donovan should have been Jazz lifers. They both could have brought years of additional success to the organization.

  4. Loved this era of Jazz basketball. Such a bummer that it had to end the way it did. Iโ€™m thankful for what D Will did and that heโ€™s still a part of Utah and the Jazz โค

  5. I 100% wanted Deron at the time and was more than happy to see how great he was for us. BUT it makes me wonder how much Chris Paul would have like working with Coach Sloan. Chris is probably one of, if not the smartest player of all time. I think he would have done great things with with Jerry Sloan. Even if he eventually asked out after a few years, Chris would have gotten us closer to the promise land, and probably pushed us over the top with that team we had.

It's also worth noting that Deron owned CP3 on all of their head to heads.

  6. So proud of you, D-Will with C-Booz and every player who have played with my fave team, our Fave Team- Utah Jazz!!! So much surrounds from the start till now!

  7. I've been a Jazz fan from the Stockton-Malone days through to the Mitchell-Gobert era and today, but my favorite Jazz teams still remain the D-Will, Boozer, Okur ones. They were so fun to watch and D-Will is my all-time favorite Jazz player. The crossover, killer mentality and passing ability was just electric. Always loved seeing him outplay CP3 in the head to heads haha. Best days. Thanks for this video, D-Will forever a Jazz legend.

  8. D will era was my favorite Jazz era. I was too young to understand the hype of Stockton and Malone.

  9. Great Video ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป My all time favourite- Utah Jazz โ€ฆ right from the Stockton Malone era through the Boozer D Will and the Mitchell Gobert times โ€ฆ Still following the struggles of the present squad with Clarkson and Markkanen and the young players in the Jazz โ€ฆ Win or Lose โ€ฆ always a Jazz Fan since 1996 โ€ฆ

  10. I was never as surprised as the day I was in college and found out that the Jazz had traded D-Will. To this day still my favorite NBA player. So grateful to have experienced and remember his years in Utah, what a baller and a good dude!

  11. Those jazz days were the best. D-Will, Booze, Okur, AK-47, Milsap, Korver. The west was absolutely brutal back then. Really miss watching this kind of jazz basketball.

  12. It's worth noting that even John Stockton didn't start until his third year in the league. Back in the day, rookies and even second year players rarely started, they had to earn their minutes.

  13. Great Vid. Love DWill. Wish we could have kept that crew together including Wes Matthews for a few more years.

  14. Being born in 95 I have faint memories of Stockton and Malone, but man the D-Will days were the days Iโ€™ll always remember! Jazz legend!

  15. AK, CBooz, DWillโ€ฆ with glueman Harpring and 3pt Bomber Giri. That should have been a championship team. Iโ€™ll always be mad at Larryโ€™s kid for trading him.

  16. You wish Deron Williams and Jerry Sloan's feud never escalated to that extent. I remember still not like believing all this feud part and thinking they will mend the fences.
When I heard Sloan resigned, I thought whoa. And then when the Jazz trade Williams, I couldn't believe it.
Yes, I'm a Laker fan as you can tell by my profile pic, but I was like, wow, Williams no longer has to torture our backcourt.
Williams just wasn't the same when he was in Brooklyn as opposed to when he was with Utah.

  17. I remembered it like yesterday when D-Will and Chris Paul were battling who was the best point guard in the NBA at the time.
