The problem is the offense but it's better for cooper because he can develop more his offense in this team becoming the first or second option while being the third or 4th option in defense and not the second as it would be in the hornets
Take in mind that defense takes away energy you can put in offense
If the wizards get the first pick he needs to back back to collage. They will ruin his career the wizards is an nba graveyard.
Probably why the Vetoed the Dalton K trade in order to make this happen

Charlotte would be awful for his development. They play lazy, and they aren’t serious. Lamelo is going for highlights all game and that’s not the kind of guard he needs. Utah makes a lot more sense; solid coach, good front office and already has a front court partner in Walker Kessler. If the Wizards, Hornets, or Nets have the first pick, he should just go back for another year at Duke.
