So in your trade scenario, the Bucks give away a pick they don't have, also they combine salaries (which they can't do as a second apron team), and somehow get 4 solid players for Middleton (who has a 34m deal next year and can't even get on the floor)? Don’t think this is a good trade. That 2029 pick is more valuable than Jarace Walker and the Blazers don‘t need Toppin (got too many forwards already). The Bucks get too little for Khris bc RobWill has no value, Sheppard and Murray barely have any value and Nesmith is good but obviously Khris has a lot more value
No way pacers agree to such a deal. Middelton is expensive and injury prone. Maybe if he was on an expiring contract. But i dont think they would want to give up those pieces. They need one more piece to be in title contention and Middleton is definitely not it.
Yea, if I’m the Pacers I hang up… they SHOULD see how this year goes and see if they can make some noise again, and then see if they can find a 3…. I actually think they should try to organize this same trade concept, but with them bringing back say, Brandon Ingram……
Pacers arent going to trade their entire bench away for a 32 year old SF who really doesn’t fix the issues. They will make a move for a center at some point though due to the injuries
Why would Indy say yes? Giving up a young potential star like Walker?! I’d take Mathurin over Middleton in about every category other than veteran experience. Losing two of their best bench/ sometimes starters in Toppin and Nesmith? Yeah, this would be odd for them to do. They have a good team right now and just need consistency out of Haliburton to become a scary contender!! Although, some depth at the 5 spot would be nice with Jackson and Wiseman both injured for the season. Dealing Shep or maybe even Toppin if necessary could be helpful.
Simple trade dame he is 1 of the worst if not the worst defensive pg in the league and he is 35 it is way better option out there at pg at this point in his career
