I understand the enormity of Luka as stated he is a franchise player and super star but I'm gonna play devils advocate for a bit . The Mavs made trade based on what the teams generally lacking and wanted to gain some new leverage and free up cap space, Luka is great and yes he did his part but based on the way J kid coaches based on the feel they think they need a player who can play both ends, based on what they saw from him in his firsy final appearance, they feel his not a good fit for their style of play , so they Trade for another super star who is by the way An NBA champion and put him on a team with 2 other NBA champions (super team) who they feel that when time comes can get them over the hump. Yes it looks to have gone wrong AD hurt but what im trying to highlight is that yes huge trade but not as bad as you guys make it seem because its not like Dallas traded for a bum . They Got a champion, afford to find good role players and develop their bench and invest in other area's. I think there's a bit too much harsh criticism on the owner and GM and i understand fair but did anyone take the time to set back look at the situation maybe see like the big picture just stand back and just think about obviously looks bad AD hurt but ignore that can you say it doesn't look good on paper and in theory?
Lakers agreeed for thag Trade because they feel Luka works better in their system and can get more out of him through JJ's stlye of play etc. I don't see who lost in this trade as the same way others do yes it was random out the blue and i think a large part of the hurt is coming from the being blind sided but it was an okay trade for everyone

Can't imagine a Mavs fan wanting to support this guy's businesses. I wonder if Dumont thought he was the 2nd coming of Joe Lacob/Peter Gruber (infamously traded away Monta Ellis so GSW could keep Steph Curry). Except I don't see a Steph Curry in this trade. And Harrison already let Jalen Brunson go.

The trade is simple explained. The NBA is losing viewership, they need the most watched team to succeed, the Lakers. The lakers being good= More viewers due to most NBA fans being bandwagoners.

I really feel like there is something more sinister involved with the trade. I think the owner wants to move the team to Vegas and may have done some under the table things to help make that happen. I think eventually we will get knowledge of the corruption behind the trade.
