After being benched against the Chicago Bulls New York Knicks game, Mark Jackson got invited to Poker at Michael Jordan’s hotel room. He stayed there all night doing his part to keep Jordan tired and awake. But after getting two hours of sleep, Jordan still put up 50 points on the Knicks and won the game.

People forget that the NBA changed rules from 2000-2004 to make offense easier in order to increase scoring and give the offensive player more freedoms and unimpeded movement… and that doesn’t get talked about enough. Meaning, 2000s+ players are overrated.

I think Mark is somewhat fabricating the pts Jordan scored in the garden vs the Knicks. Mark played for the Knicks from 1987-1992 (and then again in 2001-2002). And Jordan only dropped two 50-burgers in NYC. His first one was a nice, even 50 in 86’. And the other one was his double nickel game in 95’.
