Another former Raptors player complains about living in Toronto

Former Raptors forward Thaddeus Young is facing backlash for his candid remarks about life in Toronto during his time with the team. “Being in Toronto is kind of tough,” Young admitted. “It’s cool to visit, be there for four to five days, that’s cool. But to live there? Yeah, it’s tough … it’s almost like you in a disadvantage.”

  1. i only felt bad for demar bc most of family couldn’t come visit him because of past convictions

  2. Canada sucks. I cannot stand their border. They made me get out of my car and they went through my phone and they deleted this model girl that I matched with on a dating app. They treat Americans like prisoners. No reason to pull me out of my car and search my car I’m an innocent American. I will never support Canada in any facet. Awful country. Only thing it’s good for is the polite citizens and the hot chicks that’s it.

  3. The US Canada thing should not be that big of a deal for someone who travels between a lot. NEXUS and CLEAR exist for a reason smh.

  4. This is why I keep saying we have to look for european or african players that are happy to be playing basketball. Stop this search for the next american talent. Spurs built a team on players from outside. Also you need to find players who are very travelled. When player tell you he went on vacation in Las Vegas or Miami. You already know he will never understand anything outside of america

  5. I don’t mind him saying these things because his career was coming to an end, he was mostly on the bench and they weren’t winning.

I think if he came earlier in his prime and when we were winning his experience would be different.

  6. He knows what he's doing, it's like the start of the villian arc if his son makes it to the NBA.

  7. Steph Curry lived in Toronto for parts of 3 years, and his basketball confidence must have grown through the roof.
