  1. They probably had a team meeting about rest of the season and decide if they want to continue or sit out. But gotta understand they’re players who love the game and probably want to play. Probably got our answer if A.D. flew with the team.

  2. Yes!!!! “We gotta show some love and respect”

I keep seeing all these comments going against them, get over it and if your a real Mavs fan just be a fan and cheer them on!!!

  3. I personally don't care about the draft pick. Even if we get a player, he probably won't play when our team is fully healthy. If we can get somewhat healthy, I want to see what this team can do in the playoffs if all the bigs come back

  4. We gave away the best player in the league, I don’t care about whether we get the 17th or the 18th pick. It’s not going to matter. Play them all! It’s basketball, you run around, you shoot the ball, occasionally you play a little defense. Just go play.

  5. AD doesn't want to have to wait until next season to play. He sees how hard these other guys are playing and he wants to help them. And, if he is healthy, then he should play. That's what he is paid millions to do. Besides, the Mavs will need bodies when the 2-way guys times run out.

  6. These guys are professionals they don't want to tank and I never take stock into 1 picks 2 or so on if you can play no matter where you're drafted you can play

  7. Did all of the Mavs shows get put on notice or something? It’s like a complete 180 in like a day. Now it’s all rah rah.

  8. We need to tank this is crazy why risk further injuries on a season where our best outcome is getting swept in the first round. Especially with AD who is known to get injured very very easily. We have this draft and next then after that we have no draft picks until after 2030. I get we all want to see the mavs play I do too but reality is we have 3 years maybe less with Kyrie not coming back till late next season at best, and after that we will be horrible for a decade possible wizard status. The players we have now are older and can't be traded for much once their contracts are up. We do have PJ Gafford and Lively but the return we can get from those players won't be enough to rebuild we might get similar players in return or more draft picks. We desperately need this draft and to lose as many as we can of the next 10 to get better odds in the lottery so we can gain a player that could add to the team like lively did 2 years ago not risk injuries where the best outcome is losing to the thunder 0-4 keep in mind we don't even have Kyrie.

  9. Even though logically it doesn't make a ton of sense for AD to come back I totally understand his desire to. And personally, I'm so low on this team at the moment that I don't think a tank will even save us, though it's probably the smartest move on paper.

As a "fan" (I can't really tell if I am one anymore tbh) I would love to see him return along with Gaff and Lively for the selfish reason that I would actually be able to care and take this team a bit more seriously again. As long as he doesn't get seriously re-injured, AD returning would be good for the fanbase, but ONLY if it results in

1)Mavs make the play-in or above
    2)Mavs WIN the play-in tourney
3)Mavs put up a decent showing in first round OR win first round.

Anything outside of that will be an embarrassment of a return for AD in my opinion.

  10. Honestly just looking at our schedule and the Phoenix Suns' schedule, it seems VERY likely that Mavs will end up being the 10th seed unless we really tank fully and lose almost all the games. The Suns schedule is insane and the Mavs is fairly easy. Especially if AD comes back, they'll make the play-in tournament almost by default

  11. If the doctors tell him no then he shouldn’t play. What happens when he is reinjured and ends up worse. AD is friends with Nico, pretty sure he was in the trade.

  12. If AD comes back now he'll probably get hurt again and it'll make him even more injury prone next year. Just close it down.

  13. Let them play so PJ, AD, Gafford, and Lively can get some playing time together to evaluate their fit with one another. That's only if they are cleared and healthy. Especially PJ being in that small forward spot and seeing what he can do with it. Since he's come back he's been avg over 20+ppg. Which is impressive when he is only avg 16 shots a game. Those turnovers however he needs to be cleaned up.
