Those couple minutes or so when he was laying there writhing in pain seemed like hours. Hoping it’s nothing too serious and the way he was able to hobble off without too much help was encouraging. I know some will disagree, but honestly on the 2nd night of a btb and knowing that we’ve accepted the 2nd seed at this point, why is he even playing? And I know we only go to Sacramento once a year & it’s honorable that he wants fans to get to see him play. But as JK said he’s played a shit ton of minutes already. Anyway was a reckless close out by Sabonis and the league has to do more about those plays.
I loved what we got from Scheierman, Pritchard & Kornet tonight and before the injury Tatum was once again doing it all. He’s playing at such a high level right now. Get well soon JT-thanks John.☘️🔒
He was in sneakers joking around with the team after the game which is a great sign. That said even if it’s nothing I would sit him the rest of the road trip. Maybe send him back to Boston already.
Blessing in disguise with this injury. West Coast trip and couple weeks before playoffs, let's get back home healthy and go from there.
With that being said, Autonomous Prime will be back in no time (going back to the chalk board with that one 😅) ☘︎
Celtics in 3
Love the pod it’s my favorite Celtics pod I’m 3months in, thanks for great content!!!
I hope JTs ok. I'm scared. Prayers up.
Jrue and JB didnt look right. I'd sit Jrue if needed I understand JB chasing 65 and i think he should be on a 20-24m restriction. I'd sit JB in orlando game (2nd night of B2B) and either the final game of the season or the next game vs. the suns to give him more recovery time.
i think a lineup of d.white, baylor, sam, luke and KP along with pp, craig and al/neemi off the bench should be good enough to win us the remaining games with a sprinking of JB and jrue.
If Tatum weren't a tent pole in my fantasy team, now playing in a final against long-time rival this week, I would say rest him till the playoffs.
It takes JT getting injured for them to finally call other players in his landing space.
That was really hard to watch JT on the ground like that. Never seen him react that way ever.
Praying for JT. Hopefully it's not too serious. Go the C's!!! ☘️
The celtics are not winning the chip this year. They will be lucky to make it to the finals. I am a celtics fan so I am not hating. I am just making an observation by watching them play all year.
I hope you could make a reaction on the media hate on JT…we bleed green
Seeing the pain on JT's face when he was writhing on the floor had me cursing Sabonis. As another said on here, never seen JT quite like that, it seemed bad. Hope he can sit out Phx.
Man, i hope JT is ok. Sure, it seems like a lot of players are doing that to him on a close out the last 2 or 3 seasons.
Shut all the starters down ..we have to be 100 percent in the playoffs or we will not win the chip
Little reminder of how special Tatum is, can’t remember if I’ve ever seen him in pain like that. Dude is an iron man, he deserves some recovery time if he needs it
Let’s be real – Jaylen Brown is not winning an all NBA spot this year. I can easily name 20 players who have had a better season. 🤷🏻♀️
I was sure he broke it. Thank goodness he seems to be OK. I agree with the rest idea. He doesn't need to be there. REST UP.
Baylor Scheierman id give playoff mins if he keeps this up it’s debatable if he could play Hausers mins or not. I’d be fine with either Hauser can get hotter from 3 but i feel Scheierman does more with hustle plays defense and play making. Like making a good pass off a drive to the basket. Not saying it’s on a great level but better than Hausers level & and he can shoot from 3.. & JT should rest up next 3/4 games. For JB I’d rather a championship than all nba so idk id rest up to him tho
I disagree with John on his Jaylen Brown take on his becoming a HOF. Right now, although very good, he's not there yet. He should be thinking of the team first(and his own health, not the playing 65 game push), and not his own stats. He's also not playing as well this year as last. Maybe, too much of his outside business interests, hurting his game!
Sucks because I felt a 50 pt game in Memphis coming
Sucks he will sit until the playoffs. He will be ok come playoffs
JB is playing bad, and he is not ok! He doesn't deserve all NBA. So what? rest, be unselfish, and move on to postseason. That's the only thing that matter!
I contest your comment. I had to have an ankle ligament shortened because my left ankle had been turned so often by the time I was 17.
You are right however, it isn't a Syndesmosis injury like Brunson. Give it a week & he should be 100% primed.
I felt Celtics should have sat out JT this game coming from a second night if back to back
I agree
Legacies are made in the playoffs JB will be ok HOF wise and hes already paid
Man! What a sinking feeling after Tatum hit the floor! Let’s hope and pray! 🙏🏼. (Of course, in the grand scheme of things there are bigger things to pray for, but…)
I sprained my ankle and it took me 3 weeks to get back to soccer. I couldn’t walk for almost a week so hearing that he was walking is good. By the nba is starting to aggravate me. With flimsy guys like sga getting calls for getting brushed but people like Tatum and brown get mauled at the rim with no whistle
☘️☘️👊
Juju Watkins hurt her knee and then seeing JT hurt his ankle was a oh no moment.
WINNING!!!!!💚☘☘☘
I like Sabonis and I’m not even mad at the play. I genuinely don’t think he meant to do anything. It’s the actions after by the fans and Sabonis. Booing for what is an objective flagrant is certainly a choice. Sabonis not going over to make sure he is ok but rather acting like nothing happened is what upset me.
Love the postcast , but the music in the intro is lousy
Firstly, injuries suck even if they’re minor. But honestly this is a good excuse to put Tatum out until the post season. Just run the second unit till the end of the regular season.
JT has been an ironman, sucks to see him injured. Its good that theres time for him to heal before playoffs, 2nd seed is essentially locked in
Not gonna lie, watching JuJu go down made me forget about Tatum
Hey John you have cowards behind a screen out there who are excited to see Jayson hurt his ankle and we already know they won't say it publicly because they are protected by the internet. As a sports fan I will never wish injury on a player nobody wants to see a serious season ending injury.
Bro ima keep it 100 I was just telling one of my friends yesterday like midday. The absolutely the only thing I cannot happen is a Jayson Tatum injury we are going to go back to back as long as he is able to play in the playoffs
No way playing through injury now to reach 65 games when seeding is locked up is not dumb. 1) Many players now miss awards because of this and it will be baked into future convos about legacy. 2) Voters have major recency bias in their votes and if he plays like ass for the last month because he's playing injured he may not even make an all-nba team. 3) It could actually cost the team a freakin championship if he's ineffective in the playoffs or even unable to go because he continued to play injured. 4) When people look back his legacy will be much better served having won a 2nd chip than having played lousy through a month of meaningless games injured 5) Did I mention it could cost them a chance at a chip to not have their 2nd best player healthy in the playoffs!
I’m just questionable about the Boston Celtics medical staff ever since Isaiah Thomas, examples rob williams & Malcom kinda questionable…
Jaylen needs to just rest, he’s most likely not making all nba anyway
