Playoffs will expose Senguns lack of defense.
It is just lazy reporting talking about only 1 stat which is the free throws… It is what it is, it is not a tactic or something you can improve in a couple of weeks. Just accept and move on…
Sengun's been the best player in the 2nd team in the western conference… Let this settle a bit… All the other teams are giving him more attention, more physicality,. I don't think it is about his defense effecting the offense. It is about more double/triple teams and more hustling in offense. Also Jabari being out of the rotation means there are more bodies that can help defend him for most of the season. We have seen a clear surge in efficiency with Jabari coming back but when Amen or Tari is starting, it is the same situation again.
In the off season the Rockets should have to deal Sengun. it might sounds crazy but that’s what is really good for this team. They gonna need a different archetype for Amen,Jalen,Reed and Jabari to thrive, a physical big like Duke’s Maluach. If they can deal Sengun & picks to the Suns for KD and tyrus Jones it could be cool. Then the Rockets starting five next season would be, Amen,Jalen,KD,Jabari & Malauch. But why malauch? Bcos he protects the rim, block shots, rebounds well, provide lob threats. He would bring out the best in Amen and Reed. If I were Rafael stone I will trade up to get him
