It’s not that complicated, the new owners are doing whatever they can so the league will allow them to move the team to Las Vegas.

pacers actually kind of did this the game after the brawl. they had six players that basically rarely played before and they hung around the game. It was one of the best games i ever watched and it actually made me a pacers fan. there’s a great photo of the six players walking on the court.

I just feel so bad for Dallas Mavericks fans right now. They have done nothing to deserve all of this happening to them. And if the Luka trade never happened, who knows, maybe Dallas wouldn't be in this massively tragic downward spiral right now.
For football/soccer fans… This trade was like Everton giving up Wayne Rooney to United cause they couldn’t afford him but he didn’t want to leave his childhood club.
Obviously not the same circumstance but Wayne Rooney was a prodigy and everybody knew he’ll go down as one of the best players England ever produced, at 18 in his debut game for United (in the champions league) he scored a HATTRICK, including a beautiful freekick for the 3rd goal.
That’s the closest comparison I can think of. And the rest is history.
