Just look at what Malik has done at pg with Keon beside him, once again don’t be fooled because of the team they’ve built. Malik has killed it starting at pg or sg with Keon or fox beside him.
Whoever Vivek covets, that's who to get rid of.
Malik is fantastic …. And he can be a starting PG with the right offense and teammates … DeMar needs to go and that would help a ton
Malik starting with Keon is 5-0 with wins over Cavs, Celtics, Warriors, Heat, and Grizzlies … don’t rule out Malik just because he hasn’t played well recently … although his last three games have been sweet
They are the most unwatchable team in the league. An embarrassment. They can play well for a half or a quarter, showing you their talent, then they revert to 1 on 5 basketball. Zero passes and assists. The coach clearly has no control over this underachieving team.
Sabonis or Halliburton, is it even a question anymore? So many bad moves.
Thank you for your podcast! Next year – Starters: Sabonis, Ellis, Murray, and LaRavia, (new point guard). Bench: Monk, LaVine, Valenchoochoo, and Carter. DeRozan's salary for new point guard. Monk back to 6th man and LaVine sucks it up and plays off the bench until he plays consistently with team.
Everyone knew that Demar is not fit on this Kings team. He is a great isolation player, but does not fit.
I'm not a Kings fan, but I appreciate your passion and that of Kings fans. Sad that passion's being wasted on a dysfunctional organization lead by an unstable owner. Keep trying to enjoy being perennially stuck in the bottom of the middle.
I am done watch Demar or as my wife calls him Debozo. Sabonis used to be the cornerstone of this team and he ran the team with the DHO's. Now he's completely lost as his role has been stolen from him and the 2 former Bulls have come and hijacked the team away from him, playing ISO ball. Everyone else is left sucking their thumb.
Lavine is there to drive the tank period. Got one more year to go.
In the end, it doesn't matter what the team does. Time has already told us that we have an incompetent basketball minded owner who is more interested in building a team rather than building a winning culture where players are eager to play hard on both ends for the fans just like OKC, MEM, SAS, etc. This organization will remain dysfunctional until the owner steps the f off, but unfortunately, you and I know that will never happen. So this team is screwed and will remain screwed even if things look good, they are still screwed.

The reason the Kings keep loosing is because they simply lack talent. Because of the lack of talent, it really doesn't matter who is coaching this team, the results will remain the same. To win, you need players who are capable of winning. Not just being competitive, but actually winning. The Kings never are able to draft or even attract the really top-notch players in the league, either through the draft or via trades from other teams. And being a smaller market is no excuse. Most all the players on the Kings are second-rate or retread players. I believe that no player on the Kings right now is indispensable. Are you kidding me? There is no such thing as a "Special Category" for anyone on this Kings team, including the coach.
Demar should be traded for players and second rounders, Lyles should be traded, keep Ellis for off bench player and it would be better if Monk came off bench also, the rest Monte should figure out, that’s what he gets paid for, right? We are just not a better team without Fox!
Davion would be the perfect starting pg for us if only we knew Fox wanted out

Good breakdown Matt, I think 2 of Keon, Keegan, Carter & LaRavia should be on the court at all times or at least try really hard to. Need some active, energetic defenders to mix and match with Domas, Monk, Lavine & Demar who are offense centric. Their youth and speed, would be helpful for the pace too, transition points, fast breaking etc.
Zach doesn’t even look like he wants to even play. Well not for the kings, let him go .
Matt. One question: What would do if the NBA God bless you and winning the lottery? Totally round first pick, trade it, or retool Cooper Flagg, Keegan Murray, Sabonis in the front court. A scout ask me and ask you?
Did you inadvertently call them the Kangz? LOL! I agree with your thoughts on who needs to go, 100%.
They need to bring everyone back. They sold out for this team and the players we don't want aren't tradable. They might as well give them time to get familiar with each other and hopefully get some more consistency. The best we can do is fight for a lower playoff seed for the next 2 years. After LaVine is off the books, you can start to rebuild or reload.
Sadly this is pretty much Jake Laravia's audition to get a nice payday during free agency. Not sure if the Kings will be able to keep him.
