The Heat have been terrible since the Jimmy Butler drama went down. Now an NBA analyst predicts Miami is planning something big this offseason. This is a look at that plan and if Pat Riley is the best person to execute it.

Yes, Riley is the problem. He no longer has an ability to evaluate players. Also, he cannot put together a team that can play the modern game. His era is over. Durant, though, would be a Riley type trade. A super-star WAAAAY past his prime. And around him, he would not have team to do much other than make the play-offs.
Remember…this is the same Riley that DID NOT WANT Dwayne Wade….he wanted to draft Chris Kamen. Plus, Wade was the one who made the Heat champions. He brought his friends to Miami…not Riley. Them's the facts.

Pop and Pat are two completely different mindset. Pop is realistic and a coach. Pat is cheap. Remember the whole talk of getting Giannis or Dame? The trade talk flew through because Pat doesn’t want to trade anyone. Jimmy was their guy and you would think he would get a max contract or a real talk “hey we’re getting an all star this season or off season” na Pat has been doing this shaq.

Terry duncan & 2 1st rnd picks for trae. Hawks get expiring contracts and extra picks to build around their young core. Then miami can send tyler and wiggins to the suns and 2 1st and some swaps. Trae, Jaime, Kd, Bam and Ware sound pretty freakin good to me.

7:50 Raptors would contend next year if they had Giannis and a healthy roster. Heck, they’d easily be a play in team at minimum if they were healthy this year. They’d probably have to give up Quick or BI or both in the Giannis trade, but they’d still have Gradey, RJ, Scottie, and Poeltl. The starting lineup could be Scottie at the PG, Gradey at SG, RJ at SF, Giannis at PF, and Jakob at C. That lineup would be insane 🤯.
