Tanking has reached a new low despite the NBA trying several things to solve the problem. This is a look at the creative new way teams are losing games and what the league can do next.

  1. The lottery was made to make bad teams get better drafts, if they make a tournament for the #1 pick only the better team gets better and the worst team is stuck with bad drafts and bad roster.

  2. I really do like the idea of a lottery tournament, and its a hreat way to squeeze some more juice out of it.

I do also like the penalty idea, and more needs to be explored in that, bevause its a great way to make things even.

I honestly think regulating the teams with a second division could be great. Wizards gone to the lower league, Pelicans qnd Pistons would probabky be on their way back up this year, and it leads to more teams in more cities. You can probably roll the G League right into it even.

  3. The worst team with the best winning streak in the regular season will improve its chances for the first pick in the draft.

  4. Option 2 could result in inverse-tanking where teams tank early in the season to lock in lottery odds then make hard playoff pushes after ASG. So the product on the floor would be better after ASG but worse before. πŸ₯΄

  5. Great content. Informative and easy to understand. All I ask is that you go on a bulk phase where you crush gear and get yoked. Thanks

  6. The end-of-season tournament for the number one pick is a solid solution. One way to improve it could be by adjusting player eligibility based on their games played and minutes in the back half of the season. This should help prevent teams from sitting star players in critical minutes of regular season games.

  7. Basketball penalties would be fun because teams would have to try to win or else they could not get a certain pick

  8. The NBA should create an ending season tanking tournament. Bottom 8 compete and whoever wins it, win the 1st pick. Watch the front offices making their players play extra hard

  9. Promotion/Relegation. Done.
Change the entire US system, kids go Professional when they hit 16/17, if they are good enough… and play for the teams down the tiers that can sign them.
Roster limits of 15 players, loan in players from other teams if an injury situation gets too serious, or loan out your young star if they cant get any time on your roster.
Then? EVERY SINGLE GAME MATTERS. Tanking is a Death Sentence being dropped from Tier 1 league to Tier 2 probably means accomplishes stars ask to be transferred.
The players end up with more control over their careers, the teams end up with the means to get rid of failing stars, owners will save money by being sure to not pay dumb contract…. and the fans will win because their local team will now matter… they wont be forced to spport some team a few states over

  10. As a Piston fan tanking might not work. The league rigged the lottery to give us three number fives after Cade (Ivey, Ausar and Holland).

  11. Raptors are 5-5 in their last 10 games. I’ve never seen a team try and Tank so hard. 5-5 basketball will get you 5th place in the east. When you are in a rebuilding situation you want to put guys bench guys in these situations not only for their growth but to assess what players you want to keep in the lineup. You take is weak af.

  12. I refuse to believe the Bulls are in the tanking category. They have been playing pretty good the last couple of weeks. Maybe not wins but definitely not tanking games

  13. Why do u have to invent dam bycicle? NBA is gonna be fine again ONLY if the media shitshow about it is dead. Only then. I point at you as well! You are the degenerous fire, people keep sitting at. None of your predictions went through. None of your champ predictions won. Still U continue making noise of probable basketball events that will never happen. Again and again. And you will do it as long as people watch you still. Delusional trades, fake warnings, wrong accusations. Kasey, look at what you are doing. None of it is helping the NBA. Then you name a video "The NBA Should Be Embarrassed About This". Yes it should. But you should be embarassed first-hand.

  14. The worst team can't get the 1st or 2nd pick.
the second and third worst team can't get the 1st.

Any team that picks first, is ineligible for the first pick for next 2 years.

Lossing in the play-in automatically places you in the middle of the lottery, 6,7,8,9 (if you haven't moved into the top 4).

  15. Jaylen Brown BREAKDOWN you're next video A.M. Hoops 😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀

  16. This might be the dumbest video/ideas I’ve ever heard, please keep your ideas to yourself lol

  17. Getting rid of the NBA lottery would help stop some of this tanking as teams that know they have no chance of having the worst record in the NBA can’t do anything about it not meant the fact if you add tiebreakers with strength of schedule that would even prevent tanking even more

  18. With any of these ideas, you need to explain to me how small market teams who don’t attract any stars in the off-season are gonna build their team through the draft with these new added rules

  19. Tournament for #1 pick sounds good, it would actually force teams to be better than this system and more would be at stake. The tanking sysytem now is terrible. I can barely watch my team play because they are tanking like he pointed out they take out starters and play scrubs destroying the entertainment value.

  20. the only sure-fire way to incentivize teams and players is MONEY — hit them in the pocketbook and watch them all squirm and cry uncle!

  21. I think the problem with the tournament for the number pick is that the players might not care at that point. It’s the execs that want the top pick, most of the team might be on their way out in free agency or really not feel connected enough to the team to want to win the number one pick

  22. I personally think #3 is a pretty good idea, it can go even harsher. Something like 3 years of tanking (bottom 3-5 teams) gets you #15 at best, kinda like how the CBA under the second apron forces the team to draft last after a certain period.
