Timeline of How the WIZARDS Became a POVERTY FRANCHISE

The Washington Wizards have plunged into one of the most challenging stretches in franchise history. With a roster lacking star power, inconsistent performances, and tallying losing streaks, the team has struggled to stay competitive. Questionable management decisions and years of underachievement have left the Wizards branded as a ‘poverty franchise’ in the modern NBA.

  1. The Wizards are the most awful team in the NBA. I think the problem with the Wizards is their lack of star power, questionable management decisions and inconsistent performance from the players. No wonder why Bradley Beal and John Wall left the team because they can’t win for spit.

  2. They're honestly in a pretty good spot. They'll have some cap space and some picks in the future. Could be worse. No Bradley beal should have not been given a no trade clause but he wouldn't stay and I guess they wanted him. They got that off the books so idk could be good in the future.

  3. this video is pain. Only thing that I can do is believe that the rebuild is going to work in some years. The players rn are too young and showed some promise, lets see what they select at the next Draft. But I really think they are in the bottom rn for a good reason. Right now they finally have a direction

  4. It’s kinda crazy how they say one person effects the entire franchise bt in the case of the Wizards it wasn’t just one person it was multiple issues. There’s no solid leader up top. They never had a direction John Wall constantly couldn’t stay healthy. Bradley Beal was a one-man wrecking crew with little to no help and every point guard that they brought in was pretty much a one year rental they missed on a bunch of potential stars I don’t know if it’s because they’re incompetent and don’t know how to draft or if the moves that they made were intentional because almost every move that they made with the exception of getting probably Kyle Kuzma and KCP set their franchise back even further than where they were

  5. I know this sounds crazy, but the Wizards are one of those franchises that I don't believe even TRIES to be a good team.
I think they go into every season accepting their fate as a poverty franchise and just coasts through the whole season.

  6. Man i wished that the John wall era of washington didnt end the way it did because we literally had a team built to try and make a underdog push in the playoffs and for it to end and we in this situation is crazy

  7. It's actually fascinating how they constantly gave away good players (Gafford, Porzingis, Avdija etc.) for peanuts… And more so, how their only high draft pick was in one of the weakest classes in 21st century – THAT is some achievement

  8. Just think, after three ping pong balls they had over a 60% chance at getting Wemby. Good thing they didn’t, the wizards would’ve ruined his career too. Awful franchise let by incompetent ownership and management. John wall was trash and so was Beal. Overrated nothingness

  9. The wizards will be competitive next season if they get flagg. He fills the 1 position they need. They have sarr, george, coulibaly and poole locked already. Not to mention guys like middleton, smart and carrington coming off the bench.

  11. I think there’s a little hope for them at this point. they already hit rock bottom but their last draft was good and their deadline moves were pretty decent. getting first round picks and vets who are winners (Middleton and Smart). maybe they can change the franchise environment and push the young guys to develop in a better way. If they can get Flagg in the Draft, it would be a great frontcourt duo with Sarr
