    TJ turned it into a play in team, with him gone hopefully players get to be used for each of their individual set of skills.

    In my opinion, this moves affects nothing. All the other fanbases are looking at our 44-29 record, tied 4th best in the west and saying why fire the coach now, he's doing well. But if we really look at it, we are slowly slipping into the play in. And regardless, whoever we play in the first round, we are getting bounced. Maybe the lakers we have the best chance against but I'm not confident against playoff Bron and Luka. So if we are going to drop out first round anyway, may as well fire Jenkins and see what Tuomas can do. He has 9 games and the playoffs to prove his case for a full time head coach role. If he fails this test, we go into the off-season looking for a new coach anyway which would still be the case cuz Jenkins wouldn't have made it into next season regardless. So all im seeing is a chance to test our luck since our ceiling is currently the first round anyway. Hopefully things change a lil bit with Tuomas and we atleast make it to the 2nd round, but I don't expect that. So I look forward to next season

    Now TJ is the scapegoat. He wasn’t perfect, far from it; however, what about the FO? What about the players? When do we hold them accountable? We replaced DB with Jaylen Wells. I love Wells but he’s still a rookie. We’re not going to win a championship like that. Then going to butler. KD. Cam Johnson. We needed a ball handler that’s not SPJ, Bane or Luke. We could’ve gotten Lonzo who could’ve complimented us. We traded our vet presence/leader in Smart for air so now the locker room just there. Players look lazy and they look like First round exits. My goal for them at the beginning of the season was the WCF because then we actually improved but it’s looking like we regressed

    The problem is Ja and shows that he’s not a player you can win a ring around. Fact of the matter is if you can adjust to a system and only play one way who does that make look bad. Jaren has adjusted to 4 different system and look good in all of them. Going back to the pick and roll don’t work against good teams so what does that do for the team not just Ja. How does that help Jaren and Des even though he struggle in the offense. Great players adjust to system from KD to Michael Jordan. Again how can the Grizzlies win if they only pay one way

    This team is soft compared to past iterations of the Grizzlies, no dogs on this team whatsoever. We had an identity with guys like Adams, Dillon (even though I hate his offensive game), Melton etc. Revamp the roster with guys like that again and watch them be real contenders… until then they'll just be mid

    I don’t think it was a smart move firing Taylor Jenkins. I don’t feel like he was the problem. Look how good the Grizz were before All Star Break. I think it was just a little bit of a slump. Plus it’s the WC, it’s a hard conference.

    If Ja can’t figure out this constant injury stuff we gotta look for another star to bring in here. We need reliable players and stop settling for mediocrity

    This season is already over. It's time to start looking toward next season. The front office also needs to build a better roster, and they need to figure out why Ja is always injured. My question is why was Jenkins even brought back this season? Does Ja need to take another year off? Does he need to spend more money on trainers and medical staff? We need a head coach and a front office that will build a team based on what the top teams are doing and what we have to compete against.

    This is so funny…all the podcaster (not just this one) explanations are a joke… the griz played a premium to the Paris basketball team to hire him….as an assistant coach? …nope… they knew they were going to fire Jenkins and that this would be the new head coach… this season was about this new guy becoming accustomed to NBA basketball and then looking for an appropriate time to make the change. … why the change…well…one reason is the Paris team has an under 6 foot point guard and only lost one game all season…I wonder what other team has a short guard???     At the end of the day, Taylor Jenkins is not a former player. A great coach knows how to adjust and motivate in the flow of the game. But, that is not game plan. That is not analytics. That is an insight that generally only a former player can sense and know what to do to motivate the players in flow of game. Zack is simply putting this team in best position to finish well and I think they will!

    I love pick and roll. Stockton and Malone are my all time favorite. If the Pick and roll are so effective and so fitting to our players, what kept Jenkins from using it? What downside did he see or perceive that kept him from doing what is so obviously good to the team?
