  1. Yak was a good trade. Costly but have a guy who is home grown and excellent example of development. Next year is going to be amazing. Yak centering Scottie and BI with RJ and IQ? Holy moly!

  2. He has had a great season. I never thought they would trade him at the deadline for a loss. He makes next season's floor higher. I am fine with signing him to a 3 year extension this off season

  3. The beautiful thing about Jak is he is likely to age well too due to his lack of lower body or back injuries and his low dependency on athleticism. Id gladly like to see him stay here until he's 35. He may not stretch the floor but he does raise the floor on offense with his other skillset.

  4. What I love about Jak is for any weakness, some other aspect of his game fixes it

Not a great athlete but that doesnt stop him from defending the interior well

Not a great shooter but doesnt stop him from spacing the floor

  5. JP has been great at his role. Very good consistency both ends and our β€œrock”. Contract good next year $19.5Mil then 26 player option. We should tear that up and give him a raise for 26, 27, 28, then decend 29 with team option. $22, 23, 23, 20Mil T.O. year when he will be 34. I think we will draft a C {KM or DQ} as an exceptional pro JP can help train younger guys footwork, angles, screens, positioning for rebounds and sealing in the lane, on and off court professionalism. You have to develop The 25 draft pick to start then and Ulrich C can backup. Maybe you keep him for less $ then as an emergency big. He is in good shape and some Cs can play in mid 30s???
