It's not even really a debate. If they went all the way and won a chip this year, they'd be easily in the top 10 teams of all time. They're there by every major statistic, people just don't want to see it because they don't have a star that people have been invested in for 10+ years.
I think OKC isn't looked at as Historically Great because of their youth. OKC is one of the best defensive teams I have ever seen play. They are truly one of the deepest teams I have ever seen. They lack the big name starters but have a complete team in every sense. Shai, Dort, JDub, Chet, Hark, Cason Wallace and Alex Caruso are literally all above avg defenders. I think Chet is just as good as Wemby. His shooting splits are more efficient, and Chet plays with more heart than Wwmby. Dort can guard the opponents best player. He is big enough to guard Luka, Lebron, or Tatum. Chet is one of best rim protector in the NBA. Hark is a menace on rebounding and in the paint. Shai leads NBA in steals. JDub is the worst defender in the starting lineup, and he is decent. Cason Wallace is so underrated. He is a lockdown defender that gets no recognition. And save the best for last…. ALEX CARUSO OKC was great defensively last season, then added Caruso and Hark. That was the best off-season move to complete the roster
one of the smallest markets in the NBA seems poised to become a dynasty which might be bad for business. I wonder if the NBA will try to interfere somehow and if we will see some shady deals or something
I’ve watched every okc game since they have been in okc and shai is tough the way he decelerates these casuals will never see it on tv id love to see them try to not foul a guy that is going east and west stops on a dime goes straight north and has ability to finish or pull the middy or just pass off to the three and have all those shooters everybody on the roster but hart is a knock down three point shooter the spacing alone would draw fouls for anyone who drove to the cup.
This team is so fake, nobody is taking them seriously bro I promise you. This is like that #1 seed Jazz team that didn’t make it out the second round, I guarantee it.
Saying this team I’d unlikable is crazy. I know a lot of casual fans that enjoy watching them. SGA is insane, and they play with more effort than anyone. They’re fast, play great defense, make a lot of 3s, I guess their only problem is they win by 13 points a game so not a lot of exciting games. Haters man.
This is the most like able Thunder team in Thunder history. Also casuals don’t watch us so they just hang onto false news without forming own opinions. This team has changed how people do postgame interviews etc
