I love Luka but he wouldn’t have been worth 70-80 million dollars a year. AD is 4-0 with the Mavs ostensibly without Kyrie, Lively,Gafford and whoever they receive in the off season with their pick, the LA pick and a collection of our young players in trade. This team isn’t anywhere near its ceiling and might be as good as any team in the league this time next year. Or they might be awful. Luka, when he played, guaranteed a very high floor for Dallas but would we have beaten OKC this year or Boston/Cleveland in the finals. We will never know. Watch the Lakers closely because it’s likely their fate this year would have been ours. Good not great.
