  1. 0:47 This is why a young team like the Rockets just needs to let their young players develop. No need to trade for an aging star when you have young players that are becoming unguardable and all under contract for the next 2-4 years. All they really need is a backup big so that Joc Landale never gets on the floor. They can draft one with the PHX pick 😃

Trade for KD? Well Amen Thompson is already a more impactful player and can just cook him 1v1 already. You could insert basically any of the Rockets core 7 of draft picks in the last 3 years and they could do the same more often than not. Sorry but KD is no longer a solid 2 way player and thus really doesn't fit what the Rockets believe in (playing D).

Last year almost no 30+ year old players made it to the Conference Finals and none of the stars did. Youth is far more suited to defensive playstyles that the Rockets employ. Really is no reason to make the team older, when it's playing so well together already. Patience CAN pay off!

  2. How about the Rockets DON'T trade for Booker or KD, and just keep the picks. If the Rockets trade away any 1st rounders, they should trade away their own….keep those Suns picks.

  3. I hate it when the teams starting line up lose the game, ruin it and then they let the bench play like naaa braaa keep those losers in the game so they can really feel this L

  4. Reed had 2 steals and 1 block in 12 minutes…He is going to post elite defensive numbers. He had 3.1818 blocks + steals per game at Kentucky. He will be a great PG, but his D is what I am so hyped about. Sure at 6' 3" (with shoes) bigger players will be able to shoot over him and faster players will get around him, but in Reed's only two games with 25+ minutes played this season he is 3.500 for steals + blocks per game. This is super elite for a PG in the NBA.
Look at what Paul & Stockton did on D for their careers…2.7460 – Chris Paul 6' 0" and 2.5794 – John Stockton 6' 1" …by the numbers, these two are the best defensive PGs ever in the NBA.

  5. The Phoenix Suns just suck so much. They have the three highest paid players in the NBA and they won't even make the playoff. Disgusting…

  6. Rockets shot 57% from the field for the game. Hard to beat any team that hot. Suns lack of defense may have had something to do with it, though. If Durant is out for the road trip, hopefully Beal can come in and do something serious, as the Bucks are losing games too with Damian out for the year. Still a chance, albeit slim. Phoenix has to win 4 of 6, Dallas has to lose 4 of 6. Tiebreaker goes to Phoenix. Otherwise, it's been an unfortunate, head-scratching year for the team in the desert.

  7. Rockers took this game personal , yeah absolute destruction from Houston
But yeah Phoenix flat out did not had the offense or the defense to do anything last night

  8. I imagine that the Rockets will adjust rotations based on their matchups (instead of having a fixed unit) throughout the playoffs.

Example: Steven Adams, Jeff Green, Jock Landale, and Jae’Sean Tate may play more against taller, bulkier lineups.
