What keeps you being a pels fan?
You didn't care for Markkanen on a cheaper contract for Lonzo but now you'll take him (and his bloated contract) for #7, CJ and Hawk? SMH
I would trade CJ and Missi for something like 10 / 11 / 12 this year and jump on the Duke Center..

1. Dylan Harper (Fits best with us and has the highest upside imo)
2. Cooper Flagg (Best prospect available)
3. Ace Bailey (Arguably highest ceiling)
4. Jeremiah Fears (thats how high I am on him and how well I think he would do on the Pels)
We SHOULD NOT leave that draft without any 1 of those 4 players. If we dont get any of the dudes above we seriously failed this draft and past season.

If they decide to go with the tear down and rebuild option, they may as well sell the team. The fan base is going to severely diminish after that.
With the state of the Saints the last few years, this team missed a golden opportunity to build a stronger fan base

Pelicans need a real center and point guard. They are lost lol.
Even if we are drafting 1-3 in this years draft the reality is with DJM out for most of the year the best we will be is fighting for the 9-10 seed. Even if DJM was fully healthy I don’t see us as a top 6 seed in the West. We might have talent, but expecting our talent to magically develop into all star level players next year is unrealistic
You guys wanted those unnecessary wins. Now we may catch up with the nets and sixers..

If WIllie is still the coach, I don't think any rookie will be a starter with significant impact, at least not for the first half of the year. Even though they want to win this year, they are likely to be planning for possibilities for the next two or three years. Maybe a true point guard to back up Murray who can create his own shot, get to the rim, and facilitate might make sense (Fears). Or CJ's eventual replacement (Harper), or perhaps someone with ultra athleticism or upside (VJ). Or perhaps someone that fits the team if Zion gets traded or forces a trade. Who is the next Thompson brothers, or the next Sengun, or the next 3 point shooting big who can also rebound (Queen)? This summer should be interesting – they have a lot of options and decisions, not just about the draft, but about the young players that are getting playing time and starting to look good (and some that are slipping).

Leave Zion alone, he is your best player and PG! If you want your fans back and get wins at home, move Willie Green, Hawk, and CJ ASAP! Murray, Herb, Trey, Zion and Missi is a sweet starting five!
Assuming Sion James is still on the board, I would trade Hawk for a second rounder in a heartbeat. We have some isolated talent with major flaws, but very few complete basketball players. A James-like player is sorely needed ala Luguentz Dort of OKC.
You act like the Pelicans are the Lakers, Celtics, etc… It's the damn Pelicans. Be lucky you have a player like Zion. Aint no way in hell a dumpster franchise trades a superstar. Hopefully Zion asks for a trade, so we can watch him play for a meaningful team.
