Time for Monk to think about the exit strategy to get his starter position back in another team
On this team minute distribution is an issue and any point guard will take away playing time. For the Kings a team wide effort to create opportunities for each other might be the best course of action.
I don't like him coming off the bench. At this moment I think Malik is our best player, maybe a hot take but thats my opinion, when he plays we win. But I get Keon is a way better defender so I will live with the choice, I just feel bad for Malik because he really proved he is that guy for this team, didnt he recently drop 34??

I want to commend Doug for the change up at starting 5 with Keon. I was worried for a while he was catering to much, this move shows he can make decisions that might not be popular with all but are good for the team.
Monk is starter material, but we need more D in the 1st quarters. We have been falling behind early all season and I think placing Keon up front goes a long way to helping with that issue. We also had problems staying with other teams offensively when both teams sit their starters, but with Monk off the bench, we have that offensive spark we need.
I don't want to get to excited, but I am very interested to see how this line-up change plays out the last few games of the season.
Everyone is important on this team, starting or off the bench. Monk should be proud to come off the bench because he is the glue we need to keep things together at those times in the game and he does it so well.
Finish strong guys, buckle down and grab some W's and maybe, just maybe, you get to spend some quality time in the Post season!

Hope we don’t let wins over weaker teams fool us. When the time comes, we need to sell high on any players if and while we can—not wait until their value drops and we’re forced into bad trades like Fox, Barnes, and Mitchell. This franchise has to get ahead of the curve and be more savvy than that.
How is the 11 spot dreaded when thats the only way we keep our draft pick and there is like a 1/10 chance of us winning 2 play in games to get swept in the first round. Give me the pick and stop the bleeding but this is a typical end of season self defeating win.

Keon had 6 steals last night, but he was directly responsible for at least 3 more by the rest of the team. Sabonis came up with one that the blazers threw right to him because Keon had hassled the ball handler into fumbling the pass as it left his hands. Lavine said it best. Keon's anticipation is unreal.
It doesnt matter. The team stinks. The question is what to do about that? Until they learn team defense, that will remain.
Really good game. It was nice seeing the team play well together. Although, we all know that can change the next game.
Derozan or Lavine should be the one coming off the bench but will never happen because of 50 million reasons.
Malik monk is our Manu Ginobli…once he understands this…and buys into this…the kings will be very hard to beat

I wasn’t exicted, bragging like other fans here and how great we played. We played good last night and we should of! We played a team that was below .500 and a very inconsistent team. It’s like we beat a team that was in the top 5 in some of these comments. We should look good aginst these teams, because we were a better team! This is a win that was locked in for sure I figured by at least 10pts. I wasn’t surprised by this beat down. I want to see how we play the next 5 games. I predicted 39-43 and the best 40-42. I’m sticking to it. I can see two wins on this road trip and maybe get lucky and win one at home. . I hope we don’t make that play-in! Rather have the good pick then bounced out in the play-in!
Is all this true? 1. The best we can hope for now is 9th or 10th seed. 2. If we make it to the playoffs, we will face OKC in the 1st round 3. If we miss the playin, we will get a top 14 pick, including a tiny chance of getting Cooper Flagg.
I HATE that the kings HAVE a quota to make on 3s that’s why we lose most games. I don’t understand how they don’t see that. It makes them force shots and not play there normal game. It’s sooo damn frustrating and makes the kings play so damn boring.
Monk should not settle for this at all. It is not his fault that the Kings are a perpetual dumpster fire. These ridiculous hot takes depending on a win or a loss are ignorant. Remember the Kings lost every game Malik missed recently and what happened at the end of last season when Malik was out. He showed loyalty took less money and it is not his fault that Lavine and Derozan don't play defense despite making near or double the $$ Malik does. I hope a franchise with a plan and a purpose rescues Malik.

Keon would not start for any other nba team other than the Kings.
First time since the trade happened I've seen all the Kings players in sync and playing like A team. Sabonis should have 13 fg attempts at halftime every game. He's locked in though and playing fearless.
Kings look like the better team tonight at halftime. I'd be surprised if they don't win this Game.
If they can't get up for this Game and play it and show it then they aren't making the play in. Both Lavine and Derozan hate the Pacers.
If this Game doesn't motivate them then its a bleak outlook
