  1. Great as per usual!

    2 things I disagree on though :

    1. I think Deni does have 1 more level to take and this is against what I even thought up until 3 months ago when I actually thought his ceiling was averaging 18 ppg and being a good 3rd option on a great team and this is me being a huge Deni fanboy! He has shown me and everyone that he is taking the opportunity at hand to the max and is becoming more of a 2nd option on a really good team and that’s a gigantic leap.
If he remains at the level he’s been over the last couple of months or even better just the last month, we are already above expectations here. If he adds a couple more moves to his arsenal I.e mid range, post up, leftdrives he will be a second teer all star and can definitely be in the top 30-40 players in the league.
Which brings me to my second point which is that the MOST important player to improve in my view is actually Sharpe. He definitely has the highest upside on the squad he has those sparks where you can see a top 20-25 player in him and we need that!
If he gets his 3 point shot to around 40%, works on better shot selection, improves his defence a bit and becomes a little more aggressive and assertive on drives I think he can be a 25-27 ppg player within 2-3 years.
If the 2 things above become true while Tou and scoot take small leaps 5-10% improvements, this team is going to be on a Houston rockets level.
A lot of “if´s” here but it is totally possible!

  2. Next year I’m going to bet we make it to playoffs. Cling Kong needs to get a bit more aggressive and take those mid range shots and maybe even some finishes at the rim. The progression with deni/scoot/toumani/clingan/shaedon/kris/walker are looking really promising. Teams needs to keep hammering the work this offseason. play like the team we know they can be this next season from the start. Deandre never plays and you never know what Deandre you’re getting that night.

  3. Who would make the biggest impact with improvement? Scoot Henderson
Who do I think will actually make the biggest improvement? Donovan Clingan

  4. If Scoot is highly improved, even equal to his year 2 leap, that will help the team the most. If Scoot become a legit starter with decent defense and slightly below all-star level then this is a playoff team. Considering his age and the complexity of the position I see this as possible. Shaeden will not make the jump, doesn’t appear to have the work ethic judging by his lack of effort on D

  5. I think shaedon made an improvement. He reliably can get 20. It just feels like hes not better because he’s a space cadet.

  6. Every time I see that knee brace on Clingan, it makes me nervous that we're playing him too much. Similar with Shaedon Sharpe, Chauncey ran him into the ground in season 2 and wasted a season.

  7. I do get cautious about believing any stretch on March is completely real. Deni has been awesome though

  8. Clingan is not ready yet to be a full-time starting center imo, so I dont see a reason why DA should leave. This is not a championship team anyway, and he looked good at times before the injury. Looks like a popular locker room guy too.

  9. The blazers have depth issues.
    HOT TAKE **
I believe a player that would impact the Blazers greatly if he took a leap is Kris Murray. For a player that has pretty good success defending multiple positions is able to improve on scoring and decision making it will allow the blazers to come up with some really good defensive lineups that can also score . I know it’s bad to compare Kris to Keegan but still just imagine if he becomes just remotely closer to him.

Also Thanks for your efforts on these vids mike ! 😎

  10. The combination of Scoot with a suitable new coach is the key IMHO. What the Blazers lack most is a well-organized offence. They have the tools, but keep going to non-intelligent isolations and tough shots. The presence of Deni reduced it a little bit, but still…

  11. Deni is making a leap in front of our eyes. Is the leap over? are we ready to discuss if he'll make another one next year? imo atm Deni has no ceiling. nobody knows how good he can get.

  12. If Deni improves 57% the blazers can be a serious contender I doubt that can ever happen but still need a lot of help around him

  13. Im very unimpressed by Donovan “butter hands” Clingan.
I really hope he will improve next season, at least catch the ball!
Scoot, Tou, Deni are the core 3 guys and i really hope the management sees that.

Trade Ayton and Grant for whatever we can get.

Lets go for play-in / off next season !
