OKC is 11th in the NBA in rebounding, and that’s with Chet missing 48 games, and IHart missing 20+, but Jason keeps thinking other teams like the Lakers will be too big for them 😂.
At this point it’s more of a question of who can win 2 games in a series vs OKC
It is a match thing, there is no juggernaut this year

As a Thunder fan, I’m most concerned with the Clippers, Warriors and possibly the Wolves. They have the personnel to counter Shai’s rim pressure.
Denver is low key champions of the west.

Oklahoma City can go big. They can play small Ball, They can play five out. They can pick and roll, They can put four first team defenders on the court at once with Dort, Caruso, hartenstein and chet. Oh and SGA is pretty damn good his self. There is nobody in the west. The east with Boston and Cleveland are the only teams that the Thunder need to be game planning for.
What would Denver need to avoid Golden State for? Golden State has zero size to match up throughout the lineup while Jokic disarms the threat of Draymond on defense, and Denver is 12-1 in their last 13 games (!!!) against them

The lakers lost to the bulls twice while the Thunder throttled the bulls easily. They are not worried about the lakers.

The West is getting the Sec football benefit of the past this year. It's a whole bunch of good but not great teams this year outside of OKC. Everyone is used to it being a gauntlet because of great teams but it'll be good teams battling. I'll say it like this. Outside OKC who would you demonstrably favor from the west in a series against a healthy Knicks team?

From a historic perspective, OKC have been so dominant anything less than a championship would be a massive bag fumble. It"s going to take an all time, legend making performance to put them out.

Denver has dominated the GSW matchup in recent years (12-1 in their last 13 games), glaring size matchup problem for GSW in that series, the idea that Den would want to duck GSW of all teams in the playoffs is genuinely bizarre.
