That was a huge reason Dominique Wilkins could get very little help there his last few years. Or Jim Mcllvaine with the Sonics. They paid him more than Shawn Kemp and literally caused Kemp to leave town.

I always thought that Otto Porter contract was fine. Advanced stats show him as a very solid starter in that period. He averaged 13.4 PPG, 5.7 RB, 1.3 ST on 0.48% FG and .0.415 3P% during that contract.
