Of course, if the stars align in favor of the Spurs drafting Cooper Flagg that's a different conversation. Aside from who the Spurs may acquire from the draft, I find some of their G-league players such as the prolific shooter Riley Minix to be intriguing. It seems the Spurs have a treasure chest of G-league and stashed players to call up as well as their draft picks.
…everybody wants 3 point shooter's…we could score that wasn't the problem…the problem was defense…we need a sf defender and a back up center…we need defense and rebounding…
We desperately need shooting, and Kon gives us that and he's also good at attacking closeouts. He's a perfect fit next to Wemby and Fox. I know everyone wants a backup big, but we can always trade for that or sign someone in free agency
If I am to pick between Kon and Maluach, id pick Maluach 10/10 times. If Maluach is not on the board we need to pick Derrick Queen!! Then pick a shooter like Mcneely
Yes to Kon Knueppel. The Spurs may have a somewhat similar player in Riley Minix. Kon Knueppel is impressive on a very good team. The Spurs have lots of 3pt shooters. Champagnie, Wembanyama, Barnes, Mamu, the rest of the point guards/shooting guards all shoot 3s. If their shots weren't going in, then it is a problem. They let Wembanyama shoot at will. When his shots are good, there is a high chance of a win, but there are games he didn't shoot well and there is not enough rebounding. Sochan shoots 3s well enough. Fox is clutch and a proven player. Champagnie shoots well enough when playing with Wembanyama. Have a few steals but he don't go for the ball if there is a chance. Him and Sochan are passive defenders. But sometimes they got steals or got scrappy which makes us believe that they have some defensive potential. I'm thinking they got their points and rebounds by playing next to Wembanyama. They give sochan credit for guarding the opposing teams' best players. But the spurs still lose this season. Vassell got paid a big contract, was not consistent. Injured for some games. Had a lousy shooting stretch and then got a few good games. Mamu had good 3 pt shooting early in the season, but the Spurs rarely play him until Wembanyama got injured. Had one good game. Spurs had to get Biyombo and still played him not a lot of mins. Maybe 20mins. They play small ball chucking 3s and dunking. They are hyping Castle. He lost the ball a few times the previous game. The guy was a point guard playing as small forward. Keldon is playing in an unknown position, small forward or PF. Good shooter but on the whole the Spurs don't rebound well. Spurs have lots of shooters and not enough size at PF/C next to Wembanyama.
I think the Spurs should look at trading the pick. Kon wouldnt be a bad pick up though, I think he can be a bigger Austin Reaves, maybe like Luke Kennard without injuries.
Fleming's FT % is concerning, 74%, career 68%. Our team is full of poor FT shooters, Sochan, Castle, Fox himself isnt great from the line, and we may not find a C who can hit 80%+ from the line. Teams can just foul us & theres a good chance we miss.

We need wings and size guysðŸ˜. We already have fox castle vassel and keldon as guards.
How about all three of them
So its FOX/CASTLE/KON/mamu /WEMBY – looks Good to me(just my take 😄)
I’d rather prefer Khaman and if the Hawks pick, Rasheer Fleming for size and versatility as both are raw picks.

Wolf from Michigan is the big we need to help the Spurs inside

Derik queen

Can't teach height.
3:13 to be fair, wesley has been developing a good shot
Defense defense defense!
Can Knueppel's game translate to the NBA?!
That won’t make a lot of sense with our lineup. We need a power forward or a quality backup center more than we need a perimeter shooter imo
Who’s better Kon or Riley Minix ?Will Kon even get playing time ?

What about Minix?
G-League coach Mitch doesn't know WTH he is doing. Keldon-Vassell are gone. Wemby-Sochan-Castle-Fox-? are the core for the next 5+ years.
Spurs will draft higher than 8. Vassell-Keldon + two lottery picks gets us into the top 5.
