In 26 Years Of Watching The NBA, I’ve NEVER Seen Anything Like THIS…
We just witnessed the craziest 12 seconds in the NBA this season, if not ever. Just 24 hours after LeBron scored the game winning tip-in at the buzzer against the Pacers, the Lakers were in Chicago facing the red hot Bulls who won 8 times in their last 10 games. And we gotta jump straight to the 3rd quarter where Luka Doncic finally got it going after missing 10 of his 13 attempts till that moment. The Lakers were rolling and even got to an 18 point lead at the start of the final period after Vando completed the and-1. But what followed was a Coby White takeover. Coby sparks an electric 14 to 1 Bulls run in less than 2 minutes to cut the deficit to just 5 points. However, Luka Doncic and Austin Reaves prevented Chicago’s comeback with 3 buckets in a row, bumping the lead back to double digits.
On defense, LA tried double and even triple teaming White who was smart enough to hit his shooters when they were wide open. So, under 3 minutes LeBron finally decides to attack the paint after going 0 for 5 from downtown and he scores over Vucevic. On the next trip down the court, James tries to do the same thing but this time Vooch was ready.
Woow, Nikola rejects the King and drains the triple on the other end to close the gap to 4 and get the fans involved again. Who’s going to step up for the Lakers? Believe it or not, it’s Jaxson Hayes. Hayes tied his season high with 19 points on 82% efficiency, and brought LA back up to 7. Now watch Doncic on the defensive end, not knowing where he’s at or who’s he guarding. Giddey uses that to convert the and-1, and on the next possession he finds Kevin Huerter who raises up over James early in the offense. Did I mention that the Bulls were flaming hot from deep? This was their 8th triple of 11 tries in the 4th quarter, and things would only get wilder from here. But first, it’s Stone Cold Reaves. AR puts LA up by 3, and on the other side, Chicago creates the 2 on 1 opportunity, but Giddey’s floater over James is short, and they foul Austin who goes to the line and stays ice cool by knocking down both shots to secure a 2 possession lead. So, with 12 seconds on the clock there’s not much that the Bulls can do about it right? Well… What in the world just happened!? Chicago drills 2 3’s in 6 seconds and takes over the lead. James inexplicably helps on Vooch, leaving Williams in the corner all alone, and then turns the ball over after which Giddey finds White who swishes another 3 in a blink of an eye. Are you kidding me? The crowd’s in shambles, LeBron’s in shock. There’s no way the Lakers are getting out of this. Buut wait till you see this. OOOH MY GOODNESS! This is insane. First Reaves freezes the defender and lays it in for the lead, leaving the Bulls with no timeouts and only 3 seconds to play, but then Josh Giddey drains the hail mary from beyond half court at the buzzer to stun the whole world. Incredible, the entire sequence is like a combination of 3 separate game winners. You got the Reggie Miller…Then, the Blake Griffin, and the Tyreke Evans. Absolutely amazing. Go ahead and tell me in the comments that I’m clickbaiting y’all after witnessing this madness. The basketball gods really flipped the script from yesterday. And not just in this game, but in the Pacers against the Wizards too. From losing in a thriller ending yesterday, Indiana went on to score a franchise high 162 points. This game was absurd in so many ways. The Pacers led from start to finish and hit a record breaking 27 3’s in the process as well. All 14 players that stepped on the court have scored points for Indy, with 9 guys finishing the game in double digits. At the end, the score could’ve ballooned even more, but they stopped attacking with 1:40 left and just ran the clock off. I’m sure this was painful to watch for those in attendance. In Miami, Tyler Herro and Trae Young had a little shootout contest between them. Even though Trae made things interesting in the 4th with 3 bombs from long range, Herro was far more efficient in this one with 36 points on 76% from the field. The Heat have won their 3rd straight and are looking to climb a few spots if they can in the play-in zone before the season ends. And the Mavs just overtook the 10th seed from the Suns in an improbable game against the Magic. The home team had an 11 point lead in the 3rd, and Banchero was playing great.
But then, Dallas went on a huge run to complex things for Orlando.

Such joy as a Bulls fan but against the Lakers it doesn’t get any better than this. I haven’t been this happy since being at Chicago Stadium and watching MJ destroy the Showtime Lakers on Kareem’s Farewell Tour. Mike destroys his retirement tour. I was there and this latest beating against LeFlop James is priceless!
Thunder just manhandled the Pacers btw. No Chet, Wiggins, or Jwill, and IHart left in the 2nd quarter.
That LeBalco Janmes inbound turnover reminds me of the Crysiah Thomas inbound turnover to Larry Bird back to a cutting to the basket Dennis Johnson for the Boston win over the Pistons comes to mind. Poetic justice!

Er, excuse me; I shouldn't have said 'win' because LeBron doesn't 'win,' he joins teams that that orchestrate championships by trading/paying for a ton of talent. Think about it: Miami, Cleveland, and now LA. Lebron (in)famously 'took his talents to South Beach' where he joined Wade and Bosch. And he did this because he simply couldn't win a title in Cleveland. Then, when he came back to Cleveland, he pretty much joined a super team. And now, in LA, he can't win with his current team, so they traded for Doncic. Anyone who calls Lebron the GOAT –you're sorely mistaken. The GOAT? More like the . . . Michael Redd with the steal and buzzer beater against the Wizards several years ago was a classic comeback. A Wizards player thought they had the game won and tried to throw the ball away, thinking time would expire. Redd got the ball and threw up a 3 pointer to win it.
