  2. I think it’s too soon to start thinking about championships in DC even if they get Flagg.

I see the potential for him though, my NBA comparisons for him is a modern game version of a Larry Bird and Scottie Pippen hybrid with not quite the shooting and passing of Bird and not quite the athleticism and defense of Pippen but close

Or he’s offensively a hybrid of prime Jimmy Butler and Manu Ginobili
But he’s 6’9 with a hybrid of like Tayshaun Prince and Andre Kirilenko on defense.

I just don’t see any good reason to believe he’s a bust or won’t be an allstar in his prime my only question is is he a #1 option or is he more like a Pippen #2 to a greater scoring teammate , or a #3 who can play at a #1 level on occasion like Ginobili at his peak

At worst he’s like a smaller , better scoring perimeter version of Al Horford , who still made 5 allstar teams , has a long career with a lot of winning , a championship and might make the Hall of Fame when you combine 2 college national titles.

How much he wins totally depends on the team you build around him because it doesn’t matter if he’s really generational like LeBron, MJ, Kobe , Kareem or Jokic because we’ve seen all of them lose in the 1st and 2nd rounds in their primes while playing at MVP candidate levels when they didn’t have a great teammates around them.
