  1. "Your source for in depth raptors content" always makes me smile 😄 when u smile n nod ur head before u end the video 👍🏻 truly r the best fans

  2. I think when we look back in 5 years Maluach should be the third pick. I think he can be just as good as embiid. That’s mvp level. Maluach will be a better defender then embiid, but not quite as good on o. He will become a 32-35% 3 point shooter. Awesome feet, can move quickly. Can block like gobert, but can also guard at the perimeter. If that’s not an all star I don’t know what is.

  3. Queen is the better pick for the Raptors. He can pass, score and has good basketball IQ. Not the greatest defender but our team defense makes up for it. Maluach is too risky imo.

  4. If we fall to 9 (12.9% odds) there very well could be no one we feel is a future starter to me there are 7-8 that fit that and most are top picks. Beyond that most look like good 6-8th player on a playoff teams. With that said, if that is where we are and we are not confident I would try this Move pick 9 + pick 40 = pick 18, 25, 2026 nets 2nd, 2028 nets 2nd
Nets get 2 top 10 players and can add 4 players this year. We get 2 players outside lottery but have better pick chance than 40 to help fill roster depth. Also add future draft assets hope 1 of the 2 seconds in the 30s.
@18 I would likely take T Sorber BPM 8.5. Very defensive C and rebounder big body like Derik Q but chiseled frame. If he can someday develop a 3 which neither DQ or TS have today that would elevate his value. T Sorber can play some switch defense but needs development which I don’t think DQ can. I also think TS has the eye test “Want to” on def that I don’t see in DQ.
With the ~25 pick best of Net 20 something picks I would take a backup PG hopefully bigger than both IQ and JS. This would help balance roster. This would cost $5.2 Mil vs $4.8 at pick 9 but if you sign pick 40 to anything more than a 2-way it actually helps cap and actually would be $500,000 less than just pick 7 salary. I would try to bring CB back as a gap fill on a team trying to win with ~6 rookies on roster in last 2 years.

  5. Excellent content, makes me feel slightly better about falling to #8 pick. Would be nice to somehow out-tank Brooklyn but seems unlikely

  6. My bar for success in this draft is the comparison with how the 4 seed does. That's the decision that the front office made this year. That is the bar they have set.
If this turns out to be a generational draft, like some were speculating earlier in the year, then Masai and Bobby can never be considered more than "okay" executives and we'll be having endless conversations about whether '19 was a fluke.
If we'd just properly tanked it wouldn't even have to be asked.

  7. I’ve really come around on Asa Newell as a potential pick for us. I think his pairing with Mogbo or Scottie in the frontcourt would be a defensive nightmare for teams.

I think he can hold his own against guards in a switching scenario. I think out of the available “centers” in the lottery he has the most realistic upside to shoot with decent volume. He’s also the bounciest big in the lottery at an already large 6’11”. Fairly good lob catching and shot blocking prospect. Quick for his size in transition. He also has the connective passing gene that Monteverde seems to cultivate.

Bobby Webster also spilled the beans that the Raps really like guys from competitive high school backgrounds, i.e. Scottie/Monteverde, Gradey/Sunrise Christian, and Jakobe/Link.

My only hang up with him is that he’s kinda the realized version of Chomche minus the ridiculous speed. Keep and eye out folks!

  8. I think Maluach vs. Queen is kind of like Howard vs. Okafor way back in the day—with Queen, what you see is what you get, whereas Maluach will be solely based on his size.

My only worry is that while he can be Rudy Gobert / Mitchell Robinson with more offense, he can also be a longer Thon Maker.

  9. Adam Silver will fuck the Raptors by giving them the 11th pick. But they will look like geniuses by picking Essengue

  10. It seems like the top 4 picks are locks so what would be interesting is to ask who 76ers and Nets would take assuming they are the 5/6 picks. Who do you think will be on the board when Raps pick.

  11. If it’s not Flagg or Harper, I don’t want a top 4 pick. I do really like VJ too.

But bring me Malauch , #ProjectEmbiid

    Future 5
    IQ
    Jakobe (I believe him)
    BI
    SB
    Poeltl/Maluach
    ——
    Shead
    Dick
    Ochai
    + Flipping RJ for assets

  13. I know people are super high on Fears but im honestly not to sure im a fan of it, I love Shead and dont see a reason to boot him out of the rotation… Now if we are trading RJ or IQ in the offseason as some reports suggest I guess picking up a Fears or Knueppel makes sense, although im not really a fan of any of the other Guards in that tier 4 and would just hope we can get Malauch 🙂

  14. On the point you made about everyone being a freshman except Murray Boyles, he must have reclassified as he is actually the same age as most the freshman (Born in 2005)

  15. If they don’t get top 4 I think they should trade down. We need a ceiling raiser with this pick and if there’s no one bobby likes at 7 I’d rather have some depth
