Scoot-Anfeenee/Grant/9pick to Memphis for Morant.. ? Might be an overpay or is it?
What I do not understand is why other 'nba allocated star players' who are injured for most of the year, like if a player misses his second year, the press say, oh it is only like his second year because he missed his second year, but not for Sharpe, he missed a lot last year, so I see this more like his second year, not his third, so if going by this, his second year, Shapre is doing great.

So why do you feel happy about Demin maybe becoming a connective piece? Why draft a guy that MIGHT turn out to be that, if you can simply trade the pick for a guy who is already there or is further in his development? We just did that with Avdija.
Your argument is flawed. In OUR postition, you either draft a player in which you see a high likelihood to be a star or you select a player with a super high floor who is very likely to have a good NBA career (Knueppel). There is only 6 guys in this draft that I would use our draft pick on: Flagg, Harper, VJ, Bailey, Knueppel and Jakucionas. Everyone else is a gamble that’s not worth it. You could maybe talk me into Queen as well. I also like Maluach, but there is no need for him because we just drafted Clingan. It would be crazy to draft another role playing center with a high lottery pick.
If neither of the mentioned guys is available, you trade the pick for a good player that fits the timeline (Suggs, Keegan Murray as examples). Why? Because we probably don’t have our Number 1 guy on the team already, which means we need to trade for that guy. And we need sure fire guys in place once we acquire that star. He is not coming in via draft. That ship has sailed when we decided to chase the play in. We have Scoot/Sharpe and the Bucks picks as the assets to go big name hunting in a year or two. We should be looking to bring the supporting cast into the best position possible until then and not draft project players like Demin who might or might not be solid complementary guys.
Blazers should go after Sabonis.

The host were laughing it up saying he was gonna be terrible cause he’s a white dude who can only shoot, isn’t athletic, can’t guard ,They said he can’t create his shot, is slow… I mean idk what he’s gonna be overall but idk how you can actually watch him and think he doesn’t deserve to be top 10

I was at the rose garden for the draft party when we had the 1 pick and when everyone stormed the court after we draft oden, it was crazy… such a fun day!
Rn Anf > Shae > Scoot > Banton. None of them are very good defenders.
So me, I want to trade Anf for a straight up pick in the draft. We can choose the guy we like on the board to build the roster whatever draft position we get.
I think Clingan should be pretty elite as a drop big but we need a backup big who can defend and catch lobs. I would really like if we can trade Anf and our pick for Maluach or Queen if we cant get either.
I don't think it matters who is the "lead guard" if we have Scoot and Shae as our starters. They can work together in pistol action either way.
I think Deni should be our primary ballhandler though.
Tou should be our lead defender.
Clingan is a starting caliber center on a playoff team in a couple years assuming the foul trouble goes away and the defensive errors pretty much go away.
Imo we need to fill our bench on long value contracts and acquire draft picks. We can keep JG as our 6, even if overpayed.
DA is not a bench player. He gotta be an All-Star or he gotta go. Contract season for him, he might carry us to the playoffs.
I think it's best to extend JG on a value contract so we get max value out of this overpay at this point. But he's our 6. I doubt he would ask out if he is still the focal point of the bench offense.

Random reach on the draft board is Drake Powell. But I really like Koby Brea, who is much better than Knippel will ever be. I also like Ivisic as a 3rd big.

Knippel is overrated due to being on a very good team. He isn't worth a top 4 pick, he' gonna be 5-8. We get great value from our pick if we get him after 8. I think Queen or Maluach is a better pick for us. We can find 3&D regardless. We got Tisse, we wouldnt even play Knueppel.

How the fuck are you so excited about Knueppel but not Tre Johnson who is actually good at basketball.

We have a 75% chance of the 9 or 10 pick so Knueppel there makes a lot of sense. But Tre fell hard on the board and we would rather have a shot creator who can catch and shoot with a high ceiling than a catch and shoot guy.
Next year, sans Simons, it'll be Scoot's job to get Sharpe good looks.
