If you asked all coaches in the NBA to choose one player to have on their team this season, all of them would choose Jokic and literally none would choose SGA. Thats all there is to know.

The rings argument is a weak one if youre not going to consider Jokic as equal or better than a guy like Kareem.
Basketball is a TEAM game, and its almost impossible for ONE guy to dominate enough to win A championship, let alone multiple ones. Kareem played on bar none the best roster in the league in the 80s, and had HOFers all around him, so yeah, she SHOULD have won some championships.
If you want to go with the longevity and statistical argument with Kareem vs Jokic, to me, thats more of an effective one, but if Nikola puts up the numbers he has for five more years, regardless of whether he wins another chip, hes AT WORST every bit as equal to Kareem Abdul Jabbar, who was AWESOME.
Perkins sucks.
We gonna appreciate him way more when its all done and over. The day he hits the free agency and goes to a better team and start winning rings, he is gonna come into the GOAT convo for a lot of people. He is going to be 33 anf his game does not rely much on his physical, i think he will crusie till 38 and maybe snag 2 more rings. If he gets one more ring at nuggets, that will bring his tally to 4. 4 rings and 4 MVPs in today's era is indeed top 10 or 5 in everyone's book

Perk is talking Championships to qualify a player. I will tell you no matter how people slice it. In a game like basketball. The players he mentioned all played with other exceptional players. Kareem played with Magic, and Worthy that's a dream team, Shaq played with Kobe… I mean every time anyone talks about how many times a guy won the championship. It's how much impact they had. Jokic is carrying a team that right now when he's not playing has the lowest offensive ranking in the NBA. They have arguably the worst bench in the NBA. He has zero other reliable all stars or great players by his side. He literally makes the worst team in the NBA valid anytime he's playing.
But still ESPN will choose Shai as their MVP. lol

USA needs to get rid of AAU and copy the system that Serbia uses to develop its basketball players. However, I feel like that would threaten the monopoly that the USA has on basketball in the US.

When he's on the court, the Nuggets' offense is among the best in the league, without him one of the worst.
Records jokic has broken this year at his position of center:
1. Average a triple double. (Only 2 players in history have done this & both are point guards).
2. Average 10+ assist. (2nd best is wilt with 8.6)
3. Most assist in 1 game (22).
4. Most 15+ point, 15+ rebound, 15+ assist games (7). Oscar Robertson also had 7 in one season.
5. Score 30+ points, 20+ rebounds, 20+ assist in a game.
6. Finish top 5 in steals. ( jokic is currently 2nd).
7. Shoot at least 55+ from the field, 40+ from 3 and +80% from the Freethrow line. (Only 1 other player has done it).
8. Score 30+ points, 20+ rebounds, 17+ assist. Jokic has done this twice this year. (Nobody else has ever done this once).
9. Most points in a triple double with 61. (Only 2 other players have had 60 point triple doubles).
10. Finish top 5 in points, rebounds and assist. He's top 3 in all of them. (First time ever in history this has been accomplished).
11. Finish top 5 in 4 of the 5 major stats, points, rebounds, assist, steals or blocks. (He's 3rd in points, 3rd in rebounds, 2nd in assist and 2nd in steals). (This has never been done before)
12. Have 30+ points, 22+ assist. (Never been done before)

Guys,first of all im Serbian,i watch denver almost every night (very late at night) i like watching Jokic hes my people.Now as much as Perkins is racist and whatnot hes very correct at one thing. He needs rings to get there…He needs at least few more…Or switch teams or make new roster i dont know.But i have to agree with him,other centers didnt had close numbers as he did but they had CHAMPIONSHIPS! I just wish to meet with wolves in the first playoffs Denver is so hungry for that revenge.
