Lmfaoooooooooooo, franchise is cooked.
Very excited for next year but I’ll spend at least half of my days over the next 6 months praying they trade Simons he ruins everything.
Also, Ive been highly critical of Chauncey over the first half of the season but I’ve changed my mind on him he has a lot of value as a leader of men. He just needs some better help with the offensive schemes and strategies.
🤦♂️
Hire Mark Jackson any position.
Cronin doesn't want us to win. The league wants to relocate the team out of Portland, getting us (the fans) to stop loving the Blazers, is the first step. He's just following orders, and that's why he got the extension.
It seems like the Blazer’s rebuild philosophy is different from the Presti standard. Instead of banking lots of draft picks, they’re trying to target specific types of players. Time will tell, but it is interesting that the Blazers are zigging where OKC and their imitators zagged.
Thanks, Mike!
Mike, does it look like the franchise is being maneuvered for sale?
Slurpee-on-a-cold-July-day is wack, y'all
Avdiya's signing saved the coach (who will probably be signed as well) and the general manager their jobs.
I’m not a huge Cronin hater or supporter. But I am a huge Mike Schmitz supporter though! When is his contract extension?!?
We must fire Chauncey
Cronin managed the team after the All-Star break solely to secure his extension. No other explanation makes sense.
Some of my favorite all-time Blazers (besides the obvious big three). Calvin Natt, Kenny Carr, Brian Grant, Jerome Kersey, Arvydas Sabonis, TOUMANI CAMARA!
I want to know what expertise do all the people hating on Cronin have that I am missing? Like what is this obvious alternative path the Blazers org should have taken that y’all are experts on? The team is looking good to me, trading and committing to young guys is slowly building. Somehow everyone is an expert on how the “vets” should be traded with absolutely no knowledge of what other franchises are willing to trade -its insider knowledge. They can still and probably will trade Simons and Grant. The trades that WERE made WERE good. It’s just the shoulda coulda speculation upon which their hats are hung IMO 🤷♂️
Side Quest 😂
One thing I say Cronin has done was focus on us being a more defensive oriented team. If the goal is to be like okc and houston then I think his decision making has been pretty valid for the most part . We’ll just see what he does in the draft/free agency
Cronin legacy is complicated. On the internet it's always the loudest voice in the room. I like this podcast. I've learned a lot from it.
Now Mike 😂
the winning Denver franchise just fired their GM & Head Coach.
….. Portland's losing franchise looks like a pillar of stability
What are you talking about?
Cronin has been horrible outside the Deni trade — even that you gave up x2 first rd picks.
And if you say Scoot and Sharpe picks, they haven’t been giving the keys. Both have been coming off the bench in multiple games this season.
Cronin also traded a top75 player that is still playing at an All-Star level.
Also, he failed to capture the Flagg by tanking (playing our young guys) — and trading away Grant, Rob Williams III, and Simons (we could say Thybulle too).
So many guards still on the roster.
Last few years have been a barrel fire🔥
Cronin earned the extension. 100%
Rushing the rebuild is a bad move. IMO.
Could the vets be traded this summer? Simons, JG, Ayton, RWlll??
Why or why not. Next year run with, Scoot, Sharpe, Avija, Camara, and Clingan (young vets).
Yay more years of zero plan passing of responsibilty to the next opportunity and to the next………….
Jenkins or Malone would look good on our sideline
