  1. Malone has an attitude problem and wasn't a team player with management. He wanted to be more than just a coach.

  2. Anyone who has watched the Nuggets this year, especially recently saw this coming. Malone lost the locker room and they have shown zero improvement this season from game 1. They needed a shakeup.

  3. Honestly Jokic does feel like he is being wasted as the team is currently constructed right now. They got a Championship out of it 2 years ago but there is such drastic inconsistency around Jokic. I can understand the brass being worried this is a 1 and dome team this year. The Nuggets need to start swinging bigger.

  4. Look, I don't know the back story of this firing, and I'm not pinning the blame on Russ. Although I can't see his delusional personality meshing well with Malone's brutal honesty. But 10 years ago I told my young son, who was a huge Westbrook fan, that he would never win a championship for a variety of reasons. He was very upset and told me I was wrong. But there is one sure bet in regards to Westbrook – any team he's on will not fulfill its potential.

  5. The league needs LeBron to win another ring before he retires. Grizzlies and Nuggets are threats. Lol.

  6. I don’t understand the upside of this. Like if they don’t like Malone there’s really no point to doing this now. Wait til they get bounced and if you win then deal.

  7. NHL teams almost never, ever fire a coach let alone a GM who are recent champs and making the playoffs. Baffling move!

  8. Malone was an awful coach. Boothe was wasting Jokic's career. Nuggets had the guts to do this. I applaud. Nuggets are regressing since the chip. They won that chip despite Malone.

  9. Nuggets ownership did not do this without a chat with Jokic. I ain't saying Jokic wanted this, but I do believe he's ok with it…

  10. I love this. The NBA is learning how to get ratings back up.. It is also about getting Lebron James and the Los Angeles Lakers a championship that helps ratings.. They need Los Angeles Lakers and the Boston Celtics in the championship this year.

  11. So Denver not winning a chip this year lol ownership gave up. I’ve heard most owners don’t want to win. Bucks , Memphis and Denver NOT trying to win. Money don’t make you smart it just means you got lucky with an idea cause this is dumb. It’s more than just they didn’t get along, that’s being going on since Magic. Stop it

  12. So firing him right before the playoffs sends what message? There's no time to get used to a new head coach's voice and vision as the HC and not an assistant. So I guess this year is just being sailed down the river?
