And then … Kroenkes… PURE, 24 karat garbage. This `move` is ONLY to defend their money line. Jokic probably voiced his DEMAND FOR A TRADE and Kroenkes are not willing to lose BILLIONS – since DEN will be worth s*it if the word of Jokic demanding a trade gets out.
So, Kroenkes are playing damage control. IN PANIC.
But – lets not forget – Kroenkes hired Booth (a `scout` with ZERO resume) to be the gENERAL MANAgER… Managing the MOST VALUABLE PLAYER ASSET IN NBA…. Why??? Why would anyone do that!? Well… its simple… BC Kroenkes wanted a dumb `yes man` that will do as they say and protect their profit.

Why firing Malone makes sesnse
– his entire success is due to Jokic (no coach has more of his success attributable to a single player)
– never holds Murray accountable for poor play/conditioning (shows bias towards his favourites)
– limited playstyle creativity and adjustability (routinely gets outcoached)
– terrible at coaching a bench (the bench has been a net negative for 7 straight yesrs)
– over-reliant on starters and doesn't play/develop young players. (Wasted entire 2024 season)
– doesnt know how to use back up centre (Jay Huff, Bol Bol, thomas bryant, Hartenstein etc)
Bad decision, if SGA gets injured then Denver could easily win the west. Redick should resign from the Lakers and move over to the better team!
Yet another reason why the NBA is just a terrible league. Sacramento, Memphis and now Denver fire their coaches. Memphis and Denver decide to wait until season end with two playoff bound teams. Sacramento is just a laughingstock of an organization and that will never improve. I guess Memphis and Denver now have to find some reasonable explanation for the bad management decisions. If as the NBA insider states that they were going to do this in Denver regardless, doesn't it make sense to allow the team to have some level of consistency throughout the playoffs. What does that cost you? Nothing!
