I would take jakobe over gradey right now

Gradey has been out of the rotation for well over a month. Jakobe has been primarily shooting against sub .500 teams making it a bit easier. I would definitely say he's really good defensively over Gradey. Next season we'll see how well this will go with both players healthy.
$hit like this is so stupid. Why can’t they both be parts of the core and be future? Last i checked normally 9-10 guys play every night. Who cares, they are both awesome young players. Both super young with great upside and talent. Both play HARD and leave it all out there.

It's hard to compare the offense with the massive disparity of competition each has seen. The biggest factor is going to be who can play defense and right now, that appears to be Walter, but against lesser competition.
If a guy like Tre Johnson is the draft pick, then trade(s) are needed this summer. No way they can go with Dick, Barrett, IQ and Johnson all on the roster when all of them are weak defensively. Especially since 3 of them will be fighting for the 2 spot with Walter.
I'm really hoping that whomever they draft is coming in as a solid defender. 🤞… makes for 1 less problem. Lol

I posted on this show when Dick was injured that they should keep him out for the rest of the season. He is an excellent talent, but he needs to put on at least ten pounds to be more impactful. Dick is fearless. However, he was getting beaten up a lot.

Great point Ben, Gradey doubles his point total from his rookie year against the nba's best, he went on that 10 game streak of lighting team's up when they were at there best, Walter is great don't get me wrong however he is playing pick up teams that don't plan for him defensively, it's alot easier to look good guarding Joe smoe from the California butt sniffs then it is scoring against Jimmy butler on defence or having to guard klay Thompson, let's let them both grow into stars side by side.
This keeps them both uncomfortable with where they’re at. Keeps them both working on their game and continue to grow. It’s good for the team.
G Dick better Off for now, J Walter could get close there and is way better on Def. Some of this depends on draft. If Raps get Khaman M then keep both and see if you can get some good future draft capital at next year TDL?
If there is no valuable C or PG left at our pick and we take Tre or Kon then I would get Orlando on the line to see if we could move GD there for pick 15 + future 2nds in 2028 – 30.
You then take T Sorber at 15 if he is there and best PG at 39 and we go into year. Fact of the matter. OA, JM, UC, J’KW, JS all up for raises next 2-3 years. Plus Jak and RJ. So $ Decision coming.
This helps balance roster and saves $1 mil next year.
PG IQ JS Pick 39. SG RJ J’KW GT. SF BI, Kon K, OA. PF SB CB JB C JP TS JM That is a deep team willing to compete for playoffs next year if healthy. Obviously OA can give some mins SG-PF depending on health. CB and JM both C and PF. I would not play BI any Back to Backs with past knee issues. Keep him fresh.
RJ Barrett career stats 18.9 points, 5.6 rebounds and 3.3 assists
Scottie Career Stats 17.1 points, 7.5 rebounds and 5.0
BI career stats19.5 points, 5.2 rebounds and 4.3 assists
Gradey Dick Career Stats 11.3 points, 1.5 assists and 2.9 rebounds
Jakobe Walters 8.6 points, 3.1 rebounds and 1.6 assists
If you were to add Gradey plus Jakobe stats together RJ Barrett beats them both together in every category. Yet they are mentioned like them and RJ Barrett is size. BULSHIT STOP IT.

Gradey takes much harder shots, doesnt hit them too well but hits the open ones at a 40+% clip. Jakobe is almost always left open. If jakobe can hit hard shots next year theres a conversation to be had because his defense is so much better

Walter fell to them last year – he was supposed to go mid-lottery, remember when he was sulking on draft night about falling so low? But great point, everyone sulked about bad "daft" except e, I faught hard against the morons on social media telling them to SMARTEN UP! However there is room for both Gradey and Walter!
