Effort was the biggest problem in this one for sure. Their defense was terrible outside of a few timely blocks. They stand around on Offense, never set solid screens. It's a weak slip screen, a single pass or two and iso.
I was also the only person that's had Walter Clayton Jr. in my first round mock months ago. Same with Jase Richardson.. Other's I have in the 1st that some still don't have there. Never have understood all other mocks. I guarantee he will be there now. 🙄
Man that timberwolves game was hard to watch at the end.
This is exactly the kind of game the pacers would have lost last year
The wizards high fouling frequency and benching their best players near the end is best explained if you consider they’re trying to tank

I feel like we both always see eye to eye on game stuff. I didn't know people were even saying it was effort problems. When I see effort problems I tend to get very angry and just shut the game off, It didn't even occur to me during the game that that was happening. I do see how in a couple of plays where we couldn't get defensive rebounds you could come to that conclusion, and Furphy was big on tipping rebounds we got in that stretch multiple times. He mattered today or that stretch could have been worse.
Not surprising, playing down to the level of a tanking team posturing for lottery pick. Bring on the Cavs.
As someone who has followed the Pacers from their first ABA game, I do not deny the possibility that foul calls sometimes favor the better team or the home team.

The Wizards coach is trying to tank and the Pacers still almost lost this game. I mean their coach pulled their 2 best players in the 4th quarter and they still almost beat the Pacers. The Pacers were having an off shooting night but part of that was on the point guard play. What really made me upset was watching the Wizards players diving on the floor for loose balls while the Pacers players stood and watched. I thought Turner was putting in the effort but he couldn’t throw it in the ocean.
